I stood with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to send a message to House Republicans: don’t touch Medicaid and SNAP. We only need four of our Republican colleagues to vote their conscience to preserve access to life-saving benefits.
Under the Big Ugly Bill, over 300k Virginians covered by Cardinal Care could lose their health insurance because of cuts to Medicaid.
The rest of us will see our health care costs go up.

I filed one removing restrictions on the states using provider taxes to pay Medicaid costs.
House Republicans ruled all proposed amendments out of order and won’t vote on a single one.
