It’s been a month since Adelita Grijalva was elected to Congress, but Speaker Johnson still hasn’t sworn her in. The people of southern Arizona deserve a voice in Congress. It’s time for Speaker Johnson to stop playing games and let her get to work for the people who elected her.
Speaker Johnson has kept the House out of session for over a month while the government is shut down. But my team and I are still busy working for you. I won't give up the fight to reopen the government and make healthcare affordable.
Last week, I asked my constituents if they had received a notice that their health insurance premiums were going up. Of those seeing increases, 60% are paying $1,200+ more annually, and 25% are paying $6,000+ more. That’s INSANE.
Trump is shutting down the Gateway Tunnel project that connects New York to New Jersey while he destroys the White House to build his personal ballroom. He’s hurting workers, commuters, and families while helping no one but himself.
As an electrician, it's an honor to designate Oct 20-24 as #CareersInEnergyWeek, recognizing the hardworking men & women who power America. From the tradespeople who keep the lights on to the engineers building the clean energy systems of tomorrow, these skilled workers are essential to our economy.
The Camden Preschool Initiative is about more than education; it’s about setting our kids up for success. This initiative will support our youngest learners and their families. When neighbors, educators, and leaders work side by side, we build a brighter future for our children.
Across the country, Americans are receiving notices of their insurance premiums soaring. Families are already struggling with the cost of living. Republicans need to come back to Washington and help us fix this.
Rep. LaMonica McIver did her job by performing her congressional duty of oversight at an ICE facility earlier this year. Now, the Trump administration is trying to punish and silence her for holding them accountable. It won’t work, and I stand with @replamonica.bsky.social in her fight for justice.
Rep. LaMonica McIver faces controversial assault charges after attending a protest outside an ICE facility. Democrats argue it's another example of Trump's DOJ going after political opponents. On #playbookpod, Jack Blanchard explains why the case is so explosive: pod.link/1169056746/e...
Today is day 20 of America held hostage by this Republican shutdown. At a time when we should be investing in our students, Donald Trump is cutting staff at the Department of Education. Our students, teachers, and education staff deserve better than this.
What’s happening at the Department of Education is outrageous and illegal. The Trump administration is using public servants as political pawns, hurting students, teachers, and communities across the country. This isn't a game. This is people's jobs. www.usatoday.com/story/news/e...
