Senate Republicans are eyeing Medicaid cuts in their big, ugly bill. That means seniors who have worked their whole lives could soon face new burdens to access the care they've earned. That's completely unacceptable.

Today is International Electricians Day! As the only electrician in Congress and a member of Local IBEW 351, I am proud to fight for my union brothers and sisters as a co-chair of @laborcaucus.house.gov and by serving on @democrats-edworkforce.house.gov.
62 years ago today, the Equal Pay Act of 1963 became law, aiming to eliminate wage disparities based on gender discrimination. Yet, women working full-time jobs earn, on average, only 83 cents for every dollar that men in similar jobs earn. It’s time we close the wage gap.
It's election day, South Jersey! Polls are open now, so get out there and make your voice heard. You can find your polling place or secure ballot drop box locations at nj.gov/vote or calling 1-877-NJ-VOTER.
This Men’s Health Month, we must bring awareness to the unique health challenges men face. A reminder to schedule that check-up. We can’t always “walk it off.” Your future self (and family) will thank you.
Trump says: “nobody’s going to spit on our police officers”
And we all agree.
But when rioters beat our police officers on Jan 6th, Trump pardoned them. Watch what Trump does, not what he says.
Harm reduction works, and the numbers prove it. Overdose deaths dropped last year thanks to tools like Narcan and expanded treatment. We need to protect and invest in these programs, not cut them. Lives depend on it.
I hope everyone celebrating had a joyful and meaningful Eid al-Adha. Eid Mubarak!
Today is World Oceans Day! The Jersey Shore is more than a summer getaway; it's our home, heritage, and hope for the next generation. Let’s protect our waters so our kids can enjoy it the same way we always have.
Workers rely on accurate inflation data to determine fair wages, benefits, and cost-of-living. Slashing consumer price data takes away information and power for workers by rigging the system to benefit the wealthy. We should invest in workers, not leave them in the dark.
In addition to Rep. Miller's comments, today a man was sentenced to prison for threatening Sikh nonprofit workers in South Jersey. We must stand up against hate in all its forms.
I’m deeply disappointed by Rep. Mary Miller’s comments about Giani Singh, a Sikh man who led the House in prayer this morning. As someone who sponsored the first Sikh guest chaplain in House of Representatives history, I believe in upholding religious freedom.
Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Today, and everyday we remember those we have lost to senseless acts of gun violence. We must honor their memories by enacting common-sense gun reforms and making sure that no one else suffers from gun violence.
We must never forget those who fought for our country on D-Day and throughout WWII.
81 years ago today on D-Day at Normandy Beach, the Allied Forces conducted the largest seaborne invasion in history. I have had the honor of visiting Normandy twice and stood in reflection among the graves of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
These programs work. We should be expanding them, not gutting them.
Violence intervention programs have made a real difference in Camden, saving lives, building trust, and keeping communities safe. Cutting their funding now, just as summer begins, is dangerous and shortsighted. www.njspotlightnews.org/video/fundin...
Republicans have done nothing to make life more affordable —and are now making things even worse with Trump’s Big Ugly Bill.
Trump and Republicans plan to gut funding for job training programs for hundreds of thousands of dislocated workers, youth, and older workers, including the complete elimination of Job Corps.
Trump's plan will evict hundreds of thousands of seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities already on fixed incomes, and would force homeless shelters to halt operations at a time when more than 771,000 people are experiencing homelessness across America.
