Yesterday, I had the honor of welcoming @uaw.org Local 1069 to discuss their vital work in building the next fleet of American-made aircrafts. It’s always great to stand with my brothers and sisters in the labor movement.
While Trump and House Republicans offer tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans and big corporations, they leave everyone else behind. His cuts to Medicaid will rip healthcare away from millions of Americans, including 16,000 seniors in our community.
To the people of Texas's 18th district, my thoughts are with you. Your community has lost two incredible leaders, but their legacies of service and dedication will continue to inspire us all.
Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Congressman Sylvester Turner. As Mayor of Houston, he led with resilience, tackling disaster recovery, pension reform, and public safety. His leadership will leave a lasting mark.
Trump’s comments tonight only deepen the divide between us and our allies. Neglecting our commitments to Ukraine and NATO puts American security at risk and strengthens our adversaries. The world needs a leader who stands up for democratic values, not cozying up to dictators.

Trump promised lower prices on day one, but so far all we’ve seen is chaos and confusion. His actions have done nothing to lower costs and have already hurt our economy.
President Trump doesn’t get it—federal workers protect our food, water, and air. They serve as doctors at VA hospitals, keep our military ready, process Social Security checks, and ensure our safety at airports. His attacks on union contracts and civil service hurt our country.
As a member of @democrats-edworkforce.house.gov and co-chair of the @laborcaucus.bsky.social, I stand with @aftunion.bsky.social to Protect Our Kids from the Trump administration’s plan to cut the Department of Education. When we invest in our children and their education, we invest in our future.

House Republicans are working behind closed doors to rip away Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid from millions of hardworking Americans, all so they can give billionaires tax breaks.
Today, I joined over 200 House Democrats to send a clear message: Hands off our benefits.
Reading opens doors, expands minds, and helps empower the next generation. On Read Across America Day, we’re reminded of the importance of ensuring every child has access to books, a high-quality education, and the opportunities they bring.
Education is the foundation for our future. Educators deserve the proper resources to help all children reach their goals.
Our veterans deserve to be treated with honor and dignity for all they have done to serve our country. They don't deserve to have their benefits ripped away and their livelihoods threatened.
Great to speak with local business and non-profit leaders at the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey's annual State of the District. South Jersey is stronger when we work together, investing in jobs, infrastructure, and workforce training.
Great to welcome my friend, @afscme.bsky.social President Lee Saunders to yesterday’s @laborcaucus.bsky.social meeting. Public service workers keep our communities running, and we’re committed to fighting for them so they can continue delivering critical services to Americans.
The reckless actions of Trump and Musk to gut federal agencies and fire federal workers will have lasting consequences. Thank you for sharing your story, Patrick. We shouldn't have to compromise on our safety.
During COVID, we expanded telehealth for substance use disorder treatment & it saved lives. That’s why Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick and I introduced the TREATS Act to make that policy permanent, ensuring Americans can access the care they need, when they need it. norcross.house.gov/press-releas...
This week, I spoke with home healthcare workers who help people recover and age at home with dignity. Thank you, @BAYADAHHC, for having me. Healthcare should never be a partisan issue.
President Trump's proposed Medicaid cuts will take away healthcare from so many of our neighbors in South Jersey, including seniors and children. This means cuts to home healthcare access for families who need it.
