I’d bring along an “invisible” powder compact and use it with a light touch - not too much. A little shine is not that big a deal, but a compact will help if you want to take it down a bit during the day. I almost never reapply foundation unless there’s a special occasion or event that evening.
It could be either the foundation or use powder! You don’t need to use a lot. I have also found that lightly yellow or peach-toned setting powders can work better on melanated skin, especially undereyes. Some “invisible” white powders can leave a ghostly look. Also try dialing back amount of product
I use the Sheer Glow for now because it’s the first of the two I tried recently and it works for me. Haven’t tried the NR yet I actually used the nars tinted moisturizer for like 8 years but after I got elected I needed something that could hold up w/ photos a little more
There is a procedural trick in the House known as a discharge petition. I used one last year to pressure Dem leadership to move on the issue of stock trades. Basically you can override leadership blocking bills coming to the floor if you can get enough members to sign your discharge petition (218)
Do you think you can generate enough pressure on McCarthy to bring up a bill that might pass with overwhelming Democratic support?
I reach for the ELF camo concealer as much as I reach for NARS concealer. They aren’t dupes for each other (I think the elf one is supposed to be a take on Shapetape) but it is great
It really depends on your skin texture and preferences. I’m dry/combo with neutral to warm undertones, and I like lighter-med coverage. NARS and Makeup by Mario are my faves (use v little product!) If you run a little oilier I’ve also used Rare Beauty and Estée Lauder Doublewear
Mascara is TOP for drugstore. And if you want luxe kinds they sell them in discount stores too. I know some say that’s dicey but w/e I‘ve gotten the Marc Jacobs mascara from Marshall’s when I saw it Otherwise drugstore is the way to go for mascara for sure!
If I had to buy one product only that was fancier and do everything else drugstore, it would be upgrading my complexion product first (foundation/tinted moisturizer/whatever you put on your face/etc) That’s one thing that I find actually has an impact on the quality of my skin
My contribution today is that a lot of makeup/skincare marketing tricks you into thinking you need to have fanciest versions of everything. You really don’t! So many amazing, actual MUAs on set use drugstore. That said if you do want to splurge it’s good to know what types are worth “upgrading” 1st
