🚨BREAKING news from #SCOTUS. Today was a positive outcome. Access mifepristone is—rightfully—preserved as this case continues. But the fight is not over. Every legal attack & back-and-forth court decision causes unacceptable chaos and confusion for patients and providers.
Survivors of gun violence carry lifelong trauma, especially our children.
But instead of protecting them, the Trump Administration has stood with the gun lobby & fueled this public health crisis while our communities pay the price.
The shame and sham of it all.

Rep. Pressley on introducing the Housing for Formerly Incarcerated Reentry and Stable Tenancy (Housing FIRST) Act:
"Housing first. Before you can pursue education, before you can pursue employment, you need housing first."

Rep. Pressley on the Trump Administration, the Supreme Court, and the current redistricting push:
"That is an anti-freedom agenda."
No worker should be left behind by AI.
Technology advancements should supplement what workers do—not replace them.
My amendment would require the Fed to study the impact of AI on employment and report back to Congress.

Thank you @pressley.house.gov for your remarks and for fighting for the dignity of work.
Republicans' Price Stability Act does nothing to stabilize prices.
❌Nothing on Inflation
❌ Nothing on tariffs
❌Nothing on affordability
My amendment would rename this bill the "Ignore High Unemployment Act" to reflect what it would actually do.
If Congress is serious about addressing unemployment, we need unemployment data.
Because that which gets measured, gets done.
My amendment would ensure the Labor Department publicly shares unemployment data each month, broken down by race, ethnicity, gender & geography—just like my BLS Act.
For decades the Fed has studied the labor market and used its research to make sound fiscal decisions.
But this bill would destroy that infrastructure, stop the research, & weaken our financial system.
My amendment makes it clear: The Fed must continue pursuing max employment.
Today Republicans want to pass a bill to strip the Fed's mandate for maximum employment.
This mandate is essential to ensuring jobs are available & people are employed—and removing it would devastate our economy & communities.
I won’t stop fighting for the dignity of work.
Gas at the pump is high.
Insurance premiums are high.
Groceries are the highest they've ever been.
And Donald Trump just confirmed what we've always known: He doesn't give a damn about lowering costs or the financial wellbeing of the American people.
He never did.
Survivors & legal advocates at our @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social hearing in Florida today testified that they were failed by the DOJ and loopholes in the Crime Victims’ Rights Act.
I won’t stop fighting until survivors get the accountability, recourse, and policy change they demand & deserve.

Survivors of Epstein were not only robbed of their safety, but in many cases also faced financial instability. @pressley.house.gov and Oversight Dems are committed to getting them justice.
UPDATE: The Supreme Court has extended this stay until Thursday at 5pm.
Mifepristone is safe and effective.
And we're calling on the Court to restore access to mifepristone fully.
Our survivor-centered hearing in Palm Beach is underway.
If law enforcement had done their job from the beginning and delivered accountability to survivors, we wouldn't be here today.
Tune in now on @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social.
Palm Beach is where many of Epstein's horrific crimes took place.
And it's where some of the most damning failures of accountability occurred.
That's why we've brought our investigation here. Tune in to our @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social hearing with survivors:

Just got to Palm Beach for an @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social hearing with survivors of Epstein's abuse.
This is where many of these crimes took place & failures of accountability occurred.
Tune in tomorrow at 10am as we push for the accountability, transparency, & healing survivors deserve.

🚨BREAKING: This stay has been extended until Thursday at 5 PM.
As we continue the watch for updates, we hope you will stay informed and engaged with us. This fight is far from over.
Our office is closely monitoring the aftermath of the shooting on Memorial Drive.
My heart is with every family impacted. We're told there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Our neighbors are strongly encouraged to avoid the area so first responders can continue their work.
