A federal judge just ordered the Trump administration to release over 600 people they abducted in Chicago. ICE officials are also forbidden from pressuring people to agree to be deported.
This is what happens when we stick together and speak out. Keep up the pressure!
Speaker Pelosi's career is a masterclass in leadership. Read my statement on her retirement here.

Today marks the beginning of #TransAwarenessWeek!
To trans Americans everywhere: we see you, and we're fighting for you every day from the halls of Congress to protect your rights from Trump & the GOP's attacks.
The House is about to vote on the Senate’s shutdown “deal.” I’m voting no.
Here’s why.
Emails from Jeffrey Epstein himself show that Trump KNEW about Epstein's sex trafficking.
We need to vote on the Epstein files NOW!
One year ago, Donald Trump ran for president, promising to make our groceries cheaper and our streets safer.
Instead, he's raising costs with chaotic tariffs and abusing innocent Chicagoans.
This weekend, @aldknudsen.bsky.social, Senator Sara Feigenholtz, and I visited a food drive at the Lincoln Park Farmers Market to support Care for Friends.
Thank you to everyone who pitched in. With Trump holding #SNAP hostage, it’s encouraging to see so many Chicagoans supporting their neighbors.
Happy Veterans Day🇺🇸
Today, we honor all who have served and sacrificed for our nation. Thank you!
Federal agents pepper-sprayed a baby girl in Little Village this weekend. There's no limit to what these thugs will do.
To make Chicago safe again, we need ICE and CBP to get the hell out of our city.

This deal fails on the one thing we promised to deliver for the American people. Millions of Americans' health care costs will skyrocket, and we have nothing to reassure them with but the hope that Speaker Johnson will do the right thing. For that reason, I am a no on the Senate deal.
Happy 250th Birthday to the Marine Corps!!
To every Marine who has served, past and present, thank you for your sacrifice, your courage, and your commitment to protecting our country.

Families are struggling to pay their bills, put food on the table, and afford healthcare.
Yet President Trump is refurbishing a new jet, taking golf trips, and sending money to Argentina to bail them out.
What about hardworking Americans?
Trump’s economy is killing our local businesses, including toymakers like @hands2mind — all before Christmas!
ICE just arrested the father of a special needs child — during his job as a landscaper with a work permit.
This is what is happening in Chicago. ICE is targeting hardworking parents with kids who need them.
Meet Maria. A Chicago parent with kids who attend Rayito de Sol preschool, she saw ICE violently entered and abducted a teacher.
Learn more about her story here.

Yesterday, ICE violently entered Rayito de Sol preschool with kids inside. They then arrested a teacher without a warrant.
This was domestic terrorism. DHS needs to free this teacher, apologize to the community, and leave Chicago IMMEDIATELY.

Ald. Matt Martin and @onenorthside.bsky.social are hosting a rally tonight in support of the preschool teacher who was taken by ICE this morning.
We need ICE out of our schools and out of Chicago!

This morning, #ICE abducted a preschool teacher without a warrant — in front of children.
I’m hosting a press conference RIGHT NOW with @durbin.senate.gov and @ramirez.house.gov. Tune in here.
ICE isn’t going after the worst of the worst. This morning, they took a preschool teacher without a warrant IN FRONT OF CHILDREN in my district.

With the #RepublicanShutdown continuing and Trump still refusing to feed families, I wanted to reshare my office's food bank guide of locations across Chicagoland.
For specific hours of operation, please call the food banks, or visit chicagosfoodbank.org.
