What we witnessed were parents, children, seniors, and people with special needs lining up before 7, just to feed their families. Without #SNAP, people are going to starve.

I'm working with my Democratic colleagues to prevent a Republican Health Care Crisis. Illinois households this year are paying an average of $260 a month for coverage through the Affordable Care Act. Next year, if the ACA tax credits expire, that average monthly rate will jump to $464.

Trump has the authority and the emergency funds to keep SNAP going this month, but he's cruelly chosen to let Americans go hungry. Meanwhile, Illinois continues to step up where this president has failed.
