Great eats at this summer’s Village Fest in Harwood Heights!
Five years ago today, Congress created the Legacy Restoration Fund to preserve and protect our national parks🏔️
The fund has since served over 400 projects nationwide, adding over $8 BILLION to the nation's GDP and supporting over 72,000 jobs.
Donald Trump and Kash Patel's #FBI doesn't even pretend to work for the American people. This dishonesty is damning.
Promises made. Promises broken.
We’ve seen this happen with Trump time and time again: with the economy, with Russia’s war on Ukraine, and now with the Epstein files.
Planned Parenthood clinics offer a variety of essential healthcare treatments to millions of Americans every year. This ban puts nearly 200 of those clinics at risk of closure. (2/2)
I’m proud to join my colleagues in cosponsoring the Restoring Essential Healthcare Act, to repeal Trump’s Big Ugly Ban on Medicaid reimbursements to Planned Parenthood. (1/2)

Democrats made it free to file your taxes. Now Republicans are blocking it – right after helping billionaires dodge more taxes.
This is a gift to Intuit and H&R Block. It's clear who they work for – not you.
After years of working and paying taxes in the U.S., Ukrainians who fled Putin's invasion shouldn't be left in limbo.
I partnered with over 30 colleagues to urge the administration to eliminate the backlog of applications for legal status and work permits from Ukrainians in the U.S.
You should be able to get the vaccines you need, regardless of RFK Jr.’s conspiracy theories.
Democrats called out top insurers, asking them to follow the science and cover vaccines at no cost for every American — regardless of who’s in office.

Trump keeps cutting funding for cancer research. CANCER research.
How does this make America great?
Illinois will keeping fighting against Trump’s attempts at authoritarianism.
A federal judge has thrown out the Trump Administration’s lawsuit to force our state to help with ICE’s mass deportation agenda. We’ve made it clear we’re not interested.
This is a win. Facing pressure from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, Trump realized he can't steal from our students and teachers!
Let's keep up the pressure.
Time and time again, Trump has shown that he will protect wealthy polluting companies over the American people. This thoughtless decision will destroy decades of progress in keeping our air clean.
It was the pleasure of a lifetime to see Ryne play, and I’m mourning alongside Cubs fans across the nation.
I hope that next time you’re at Wrigley, you’ll take a moment at his statue to remember one of the greats. (2/2)
As a lifelong Cubs fan, it’s a point of pride to say that I was in the stands for the famous Sandberg Game in 1984.
Ryne Sandberg was the best second baseman ever to play the game, and yet every time we met, he was modest, kind, and unassuming. (1/2)
I also want to take a moment to commend NYPD Officer Didarul Islam, who gave his life to prevent more victims. A father, an immigrant, and an American, Didarul displayed true heroism. May he and the other victims rest in peace.
The shooter used an MR assault rifle — a military-grade firearm — and had multiple mental health crisis holds placed on him. Congress must ban these weapons of war from our communities and enact red-flag laws to stop all guns from getting to those in crisis.
I want to take a moment to express my deepest sympathies to all New Yorkers today, particularly to the victims and their families of yesterday’s Midtown Manhattan shooting.

Donald Trump has let SIX deadlines pass with no change from Putin when it comes to his war in Ukraine.
The president needs to take decisive action now instead of continuing his pattern of appeasement.

Later this week, 8 million people will get interest charged to their student loan debt, because of the Trump administration.
These Americans borrowed to get a good education and have a better life. The government should make that easier for them, not harder.
