Two people have been tragically killed in the last week. A pause on vehicle stops is nowhere near enough. We need laws that prevent these tragedies and hold ICE agents accountable with real consequences.
If there's a shutdown, it's on Donald Trump. He said so himself. Unless Trump changes his course, realizes the anti-democracy SAVE Act cannot pass, and starts working on more productive things, we could be headed for another Trump Shutdown.
Bipartisan majorities in Congress passed legislation to end this war that Trump is ignoring. Our service members are in harm’s way. Working families are forking over a fortune for gas and groceries. End this war once and for all.
Trump has no clue what he’s doing in Iran, and it’s a recipe for utter disaster. He had no plan and no exit strategy on day 1 of this reckless war. We’re on day 136, and nothing has changed.
Breaking News: President Trump retreated from his plan to charge ships for using the Strait of Hormuz, as he reimposes a blockade of Iranian ports.
To say that Senators Ossoff and Warnock are "illegitimate" because of election fraud is lunacy and reeks of desperation. And it is so obviously part of Trump’s corrupt effort to subvert the 2026 midterm elections.
The Trump admin must release all information related to these shootings, and we need independent investigations into each. These shootings are not inevitable. They are a policy choice being made by Donald Trump and Senate Republicans.
Allowing poorly trained agents to roam our streets, kick down doors without warrants, and shoot people dead in the street is state-sanctioned violence—not immigration policy.
Just days after celebrating America’s 250th birthday, with Trump hosting speeches on National Park land, he shows what he really thinks of “America the Beautiful” by massively shrinking the size of two national parks.
Donald Trump fired his Antitrust Chief to push through this merger and create a media ecosystem to say whatever he wants and suffocate independent voices, while raising costs and harming the quality of our television and cinema.
Very glad to see @newyorkstateag.bsky.social Tish James leading New York and 11 other states in challenging the Paramount merger, which reeks of political manipulation and monopolization, and would be a disaster for workers in the entertainment industry and American consumers.
Breaking News: Twelve Democratic states filed a lawsuit to block Paramount’s $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros., arguing it would harm cinemas.
Donald Trump is saying the quiet part out loud: He has no issue with shutting the federal government down to force through his voter suppression bill to disenfranchise millions of American citizens.
A graphic reads: "REPUBLICANS HAVE TO [TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER]....OR WE WILL HAVE A SHUTDOWN N SEPTEMBER." DONALD TRUMP, 7/13/26
Donald Trump's so-called “understanding” with Iran fell apart faster than the ink could dry. The House and Senate both voted to remove our forces from harm’s way and end this war now. Trump must comply. Enough is enough. End the war.
A headline from Politico reads: Trump notifies Congress of new war against Iran
Another person killed by ICE agents, this time in Maine. His family deserves answers. We need a complete, independent, and transparent investigation immediately.
NEWS: Homeland Security Secretary Mullin told Sen. Angus King that the man fatally shot by ICE agents in Biddeford, Maine, "was NOT the target of the warrant," according to King's office.
The American people knew it was patently corrupt. Yet Republicans blocked every single Democratic effort to unwind it, choosing Trump’s corrupt deal over the American taxpayer. Democrats will continue to fight against Trump and his family’s blatant corruption by all means possible.
BREAKING: We just got a big win against Trump’s two-billion-dollar taxpayer-funded MAGA slush fund and his family’s sweetheart tax fraud deal.
Breaking news: A federal judge ruled President Trump’s IRS lawsuit, which led to a now-abandoned proposal for a $1.8 billion payout fund, was filed for an “improper purpose” and referred the attorneys involved for potential disciplinary proceedings.
Trump wants to shut down the government in September to force Senate Republicans to pass the SAVE Act, rig the midterm elections, and disenfranchise millions of American citizens. If the government shuts down in September, remember one man was cheerleading for that outcome all along: Donald Trump.
Millions of Americans are being crushed by housing costs. Donald Trump called their crisis “a big yawn”—then refused to sign the most significant bipartisan housing bill in decades. His priorities couldn’t be clearer: higher costs for families and more power for himself.
Trump: "I will not sign the Housing Bill, which has been fully approved by Congress and sent to the WH, in PROTEST over the fact that the Senate is not capable of passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, which is polling at 97% with the Republican Party, and very high with the non-politician Dumocrats."
I will not sign the Housing Bill, which has been fully approved by Congress and sent to the White House, in PROTEST over the fact that the United States Senate is not capable of passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT, which is polling at 97% with the Republican Party, and very high with the non-politician Dumocrats. The Act states, quite simply, that to Vote a person must show PHOTO VOTER I.D., PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP, AND THAT THERE WILL BE NO MORE CROOKED, CORRUPT, & DESTABILIZING MAIL-IN BALLOTS (EXCEPTIONS for Military, Disabled, Illness, and Travel!). THE SAVE AMERICA ACT’S non-passage is CRAZY, and a serious threat to any politician who votes against it! If the Dumocrats, or any RINO (or worse!) working with them, do not allow a positive Vote on SAVE AMERICA, TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER, and pass this, and every other Bill that true Republicans have ever dreamt of (In addition to the upcoming Budget BOMB and the 1929 catastrophic style DEBT CEILING BILL!). The Dumocrats will TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER, if and when they ever get the chance to do so, in their very first hour - And I will no longer be able to call them Dumocrats again! The title of DUMB will revert to the Republicans who allowed this horrible calamity to happen to our Party, and our Nation, itself! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP
He is gutting the independent agency that certifies voting systems and helps election officials run secure elections. Senate Democrats will fight this power grab at every turn. The American people—not Donald Trump—will decide the 2026 election.
