This afternoon, I participated in the Dollar Tree Employee Townhall with Senator Warner and Senator Kaine
I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from workers about how their families are being impacted by runaway gas prices and inflation

The Joint Chiefs and all military personnel must be aware they can be held accountable long into the future for war crimes that are committed in the present.

The president has engaged in activities that experts are describing as war crimes in Iran and other parts of the world over the past few months. Republicans in Congress have refused to rein him in, and earlier today he threatened to obliterate the Iranian people.
Genocide is a war crime.

It was nice to see the community come together for the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank’s Annual Tastefully Yours event, which generates proceeds to help Foodbank staff fulfill the organization’s mission of providing direct assistance to Peninsula families
It was great seeing Delegate Alex Askew and other guests this evening at Norfolk Councilman Carlos Clanton’s event for young professionals
I was joined by staff from the Friends of the Portsmouth Juvenile Court, who planted blue pinwheels to promote prevention through education initiatives and providing resources to families
This afternoon, I attended the 2026 Pinwheels for Prevention Garden Dedication Ceremony to raise awareness that April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
I appreciated the opportunity to participate in the Inaugural Virginia Defense Forum Congressional Panel, where I highlighted my work to expand Pell Grant eligibility for training programs and efforts to strengthen the pipeline for workers across our defense industrial base
Under Pam Bondi, the Justice Department worked to discredit election results, threaten states to turn over their voter rolls, bury the Epstein Files, ignore court orders, pursue baseless persecutions, and install MAGA loyalists throughout our justice system.
