Americans do not want the United States to “run” Venezuela - and neither do Venezuelans. Americans don’t want to pay for this power grab or another forever war. They want a government that works for them, not to enrich the oil industry.
The American people deserve better.

However, President Trump’s decision to carry out extensive military strikes in Venezuela and remove Maduro from power without congressional approval or a clear plan for the future does not make the world more secure or Americans better off.
There is no question that Nicolás Maduro is an illegitimate leader.

ACA tax credits expire tonight, and families across Pennsylvania will lose their healthcare coverage.
Republicans in Congress and the White House refused to extend these tax credits, and millions of Americans will suffer as a result.
