The result of today’s vote on the OBBB is disappointing, to say the least.
But the fight isn’t over.
I’ll press on for a better future for all Americans.
House Republicans took an unconscionable vote to strip healthcare and food assistance from millions of Americans to give the ultrawealthy a tax cut.
I voted no.

Republicans are getting pressured by the White House to vote for a bill that they know takes away Healthcare and SNAP from Millions of Americans.
We’ll fight them for as long as it takes to stop the Big BS Bill from passing!

As House Republicans attempt to take the next step, remember: this bill cuts health care from millions of Americans.
But don’t take our word for it – hear from Republicans in Congress:
The Power of the People is greater than the People in Power.
Keep the pressure on. There's still time.
Call House Republicans and tell them to #VoteNo!
Reposted byCongresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon
Every member of congress who votes for this reconciliation bill will be voting to cut Medicaid coverage and food assistance for hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians.
The impact of this vote would be devastating — and it will be on them.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to Save Medicaid and SNAP, while the White House is pressuring House Republicans to Cut them.
Join us and demand that they put Americans OVER Billionaires!
Tell them to #VoteNo on the OBBB!
We NEED 4 House Republicans to vote with us to SAVE Medicaid and SNAP.
Join us and tell them to #VoteNo!
While you were asleep, House Democrats fought to save your Healthcare and SNAP.
The fight isn’t over yet we just need 4 House Republicans to #VoteNo.
The American people Can't Afford House Republicans Rolling Over and Passing the Big BS Bill when their Healthcare and SNAP benefits are at Stake.
Kids can’t learn on an Empty Stomach.
@repangiecraig.bsky.social and I agree that Cuts to SNAP will be Devastating for Children relying on free and reduced-price meals.
American Values:
Millions of Americans having Healthcare and Food > Billionaire Tax Cuts
Red Tape Republicans are threatening Medicaid for Millions of Children, including:
- ~99% of Foster Youth
- 1/2 of Nationwide Births
- 1/3 of Kids with Cancer
Republicans' Work Requirements aren't going after waste, fraud and abuse.
They're making it harder to access SNAP for Families, Seniors, Veterans, and Foster Youth in need.
For every Millionaire that gets a tax cut:
- 19 people will be Kicked off their Healthcare
- 6 people will Lose their Food Assistance
This is a Terrible Deal for Americans!
Quick Econ Recap: Trickle-Down Economics is a failed theory.
The Big BS Bill is going to create more income inequality.
The Mega-Rich will get Mega-Richer, and the Poor will get Poorer.
This bill is a Monstrosity.
It’s indefensible to cut the Healthcare and SNAP for Americans to give Tax Cuts to Billionaires and Big Business.
Republicans’ Trillion Dollar Cut to Health Care will:
- Take Healthcare from 17 Million people
- Bury Americans in Medical DEBT
- Bankrupt Hospitals and Nursing Homes
-Reduce Health Providers
- Increase Copays for Medicaid users
- Surge Health Insurance Premiums
Americans deserve better!
The American people’s Healthcare and SNAP are Worth more than Billionaire Tax Cuts.
Follow along as we fight to prevent the Big BS Bill from becoming law.
