NEW: After weeks of chaos and confusion, the Trump Administration finally lifted their short-sighted freeze on critical western drought funding.
This is a major victory for Arizona and the more than 40 million people who rely on the Colorado River.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first Black military pilots. They played a critical role in both winning WWII & integrating the military. Their story must continue to be taught & remembered. I encourage you to check out The Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum & visit the Tuskegee Airmen exhibit.
Arizona is facing a historic drought, and Trump’s freeze on federal drought funding puts years of conservation work at risk.

Expelling highly trained members of our military at this critical time is self-defeating, undermines military readiness and harms our national security.

The return of hostage remains by Hamas marks the final exchange in phase 1 of the ceasefire. Our hearts break for the families of the murdered hostages and those held captive for hundreds of days.

As the @newdems.bsky.social Immigration & Border Security Working Group Chair, I'm ready to get to work on strengthening border security AND modernizing our broken and outdated immigration system. It's not one or the other—we can do both.
#HomeIsHere
Today I'm proud to help reintroduce the bipartisan American Dream and Promise Act.
Dreamers are our neighbors and coworkers. They follow the law, contribute to the Arizona economy and pay taxes. And they deserve a pathway to citizenship. #HomeIsHere
I'm calling on the Trump Administration to immediately unfreeze federal funding that's going to protect critical levels along the Colorado River.
Any delay in getting these dollars out the door puts desperately needed water conservation efforts at risk.
No one who voted yes can credibly claim to be either a budget hawk or someone who cares about protecting peoples' health care ever again.
The budget resolution that Republicans jammed through tonight—without a single Democratic vote—does 2 things:
1. It cuts Medicaid for half a million Arizonans
2. It adds trillions to the deficit
Today I'll be voting NO on the extreme Republican budget plan. It would be a disaster for Arizona families, hospitals and our economy.
It's families like Maureen’s that would be hit hardest by extreme Republicans' attempts to slash Medicaid funding.

Medicaid provides healthcare to our most vulnerable — children, seniors, low-income families and people with disabilities.
Stories like Brian’s are why I’m fighting like hell to protect Medicaid and other services Arizonans rely on.

1 out of every 3 children in Arizona rely on Medicaid for their health care.
But House Republicans—with Trump's blessing—want to move forward with a budget that slashes Medicaid. It's wrong, and I'll do everything in my power to fight back.

2/ America’s allies in Europe and around the world are watching in horror as Trump forsakes decades-old alliances in favor of autocrats and despots.
1/ Today marks three years of the Ukrainian people fighting for their freedom against Putin’s brutal, illegal invasion.
Yet in a shocking betrayal, the Trump Administration voted AGAINST a resolution at the United Nations condemning Russian aggression.
Great to see Mayor Mark Freeman last week to hear from him on how we can work together to support Mesa's top priorities—including public transportation, water infrastructure, and support for law enforcement.
We're in a do-or-die moment for the future of the Colorado River.
Arizona has made huge strides in water conservation, but saving this river will require shared sacrifice and real compromise throughout the basin states.
