I #WearOrange because even just one life taken by gun violence is too many. We must continue to work to save lives here in Michigan and across the country.

The CBO declaring that Trump’s budget will kick 11 million people off their health coverage and increase the debt by $2.4 trillion.
That's won't fly for working Michiganders, especially when Trump is giving tax handouts to the very top of the 1%.

SAVE MICHIGAN JOBS!
🤖 Proud to be working with my colleagues Reps. McGovern, Obernolte, and Latta to increase our focus and invest in the robotics industry so America, not the Chinese, can lead on innovation. news.bgov.com/bloomberg-go...
Tomorrow is the start of Pride Month and I could not be more excited to kick it off at Ferndale Pride today!
To celebrate Ferndale and their proud tradition of protecting LGBTQ rights and the LGBTQ community, I introduced a resolution this week, recognizing Ferndale for being a beacon of progress.🏳️🌈
Interns are the lifeblood of congressional offices and help me stay connected with constituents!
My office is hiring smart and dedicated college students to intern in D.C. and Oakland County for the fall. Check out my website to learn more: stevens.house.gov/services/internships
Today, as we do every Memorial Day, I’m thinking of the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedom we all love in Michigan and across America. Their courage knows no bounds, and we are all forever grateful. 🇺🇲
A win for Michigan students against Trump and Musk’s chaos agenda. We need to invest in educating our best and brightest right here in Michigan, so they can power innovation and the future of our manufacturing economy.
My statement on voting against Trump and Musk's handout to the rich and powerful:
Let’s be clear – this plan is a disaster for Michigan.
It’s nothing but a handout for the richest Americans and will slash the benefits so many Michiganders rely on, like Medicaid.
JUST IN: House GOP leaders release changes to Trump agenda bill in bid to sway holdouts

If you’re a billionaire like Elon Musk, this bill is great for you.
If you’re a working Michigander already struggling with rising prices, Trump and Musk want you to feel even more pain.
I had a wonderful time this morning with the Council of Jewish Women, Michigan.
These incredible women are fighting to protect Michigan values and combat anti-semitism, and I’m proud to stand with them.
Here’s how Trump and Musk’s budget bill will affect Michigan:
If you’re making less than $51,000/year, Trump and Musk want to raise your taxes by an average of $700.
But if you’re a multi-millionaire in the top 0.1%? They’re giving you a nearly $400,000 tax handout.

Last night, I led my colleagues in taking to the House floor to stand up for science, for innovation, and for Michigan manufacturers.
Trump's chaos is making us weaker, and I'm going to keep standing up to protect Michigan's manufacturing economy.
Trump’s shoot-from-the-hip tariffs and the uncertainty they are causing are already hurting Michigan and raising prices on Michigan families. Now, it looks like they could cost us even more.
Enough of the chaos!

It’s always great to meet with the men and women keeping Michigan safe, so I was honored today to meet with Mark Young, Rodney Sizemore, and Erika Lee from the Detroit Police Lieutenants and Sergeants Association to discuss how we can support our police officers to keep Detroit safe.
This past week, I visited Pilot Systems International in Farmington Hills for my Manufacturing Mondays! Pilot Systems is using their expertise in engineering to innovate the automotive and defense industries through their engineering expertise.
It was great to meet the UMich Carson Scholars this week! These students are the leaders of tomorrow, and I was thrilled to tell them about the work we're doing in Congress to build a better world for them.
From the classroom to Congress 📚
This is ridiculous and yet another example of the unnecessary chaos this administration is causing. Dr. Carla Hayden led the Library of Congress with integrity, intelligence, and honor.
Everyday, this administration finds new ways to gut education and make our country weaker on the world stage.
