Despite what Donald Trump says, there’s nothing to celebrate over these last 100 days. My team and I have collected stories from folks across Michigan to shine a light on how their lives have been made worse – not better – under Trump’s administration.

I am deeply saddened by the horrible terrorist attack in Kashmir. This senseless and horrific violence is an affront to all peace loving people of the region and I am praying for the victims and their families. We stand united in our opposition to terror and violence.
Pope Francis was a moral visionary. He challenged us to be better, kinder, and more thoughtful while speaking out for the environment, for the poor, and for the marginalized.
He leaves a legacy for all of us to emulate and will be dearly missed.
Happy Easter to all those celebrating in Michigan’s 11th District and across the country! May your day be filled with family and fellowship.
Congratulations to Walled Lake Northern’s Sofie Chernyak for winning this year’s Congressional App challenge with her Bunny Bounce app! Student’s like Sofie inspire my work to make sure America’s research and development infrastructure is strong so that they can invent the future.
Devastated by the shooting at FSU today, my heart is with those impacted.

Thank you again to NAM and the workers who gathered with me today to discuss our future and our capabilities. 13/13

It is not right and our country must be positioned for better success than this status quo. 10/13
In order to continue to lead, we need a plan for our supply chain and we need to secure critical minerals, so we can lessen our dependence on the refining and processing that is done almost exclusively in China. 9/13
The state of Michigan has a beautiful, cohesive, and exciting manufacturing economy. Our workers, talent, and innovators truly lead the world and beat expectations every day. 8/13
Purchasers need certainty on pricing. Producers and final assembly manufacturers need “on-time delivery” of parts components. They need rules of the road so they can price their products, pay their people, and balance their books. 7/13
We of course, discussed the range of policies coming out of Washington, D.C. One thing is clear: Michigan’s auto, aero, and defense manufacturing economy needs certainty. 6/13
The companies that participated in today’s round table demonstrated and voiced their capabilities and needs in a thorough and wide-ranging conversation. 5/13
As always, the complex nature of what goes into capital intensive supply chains determines the fate of our economy and so many jobs here in Michigan and across the country. 4/13
