The Protecting America from Chinese Cars Act is about protecting Michigan jobs and defending our national security. That’s what I’ll always fight for.

Michigan workers are the best in the world. I proudly stand with UAW Local 2093 at American Axle in Three Rivers as they fight for a fair contract. These workers help keep Michigan manufacturing strong, and they deserve fair wages, dignity, and respect at the bargaining table.
Great day in Mackinac with @slotkin.senate.gov talking about strengthening our national security and fighting for Michigan workers. That’s how we keep Michigan moving forward.
🚨NEW: We can’t let cars spy on Americans for China.
@slotkin.senate.gov and I are introducing the Protecting America from Chinese Cars Act to block Chinese connected vehicles from entering the United States and risking our national security, our privacy, and Michigan jobs.
Donald Trump wants to have reckless policies that threaten Michigan families and law enforcement.
I’m not letting that happen.
Memorial Day means remembering the heroes who gave everything for our country and honoring the military families across Michigan who carry that sacrifice. Grateful today and always for those who served our nation.
The Trump Administration wants to let anyone ship guns in the mail.
I’m pushing back. That’s why today I introduced the Keep Illegal Handguns Out of the Mail Act to prevent the Trump Administration from making us less safe.
After all the work we’ve done to clean up our water and get rid of PFAS, Donald Trump is opening the floodgates for polluters.
His EPA is rolling back protections against these forever chemicals, once again putting big corporations ahead of the health and safety of Michigan families.
Trump didn’t bring a single voice representing Michigan’s manufacturing or autoworkers on his visit to China. He only had room for billionaires.
That’s unacceptable.
Trump wants to slash K-12 funding, making it harder for Michigan students, teachers, and workers to get ahead.
Not on my watch.
Trump promised to lower costs on day one. Instead, Michigan families are still getting squeezed: from rising grocery bills to higher prices at the gas pump.
At the same time, his administration is spending billions of taxpayer dollars on a reckless war with Iran that is driving prices even higher.
As Trump heads to China tomorrow, Michigan workers deserve better than the chaos he’s created at home.
We need a real industrial strategy that backs unions, strengthens Michigan manufacturing, and puts workers first.
AUBURN HILLS & NEARBY COMMUNITIES: Please continue following local water restrictions and boil water advisories as repairs move forward.
My full statement ⬇️
Thank you to GM and local UAW members for hosting us this weekend!
We heard directly from autoworkers and union leaders about the importance of strengthening our supply chains, supporting union jobs, and keeping the future of manufacturing in Michigan. 🇺🇸🚘 @khanna.house.gov @debbiedingell.house.gov
At a time when everything’s expensive, it’s especially impossible to afford a home. Michigan families spend more and more on rent each year and don’t get enough in return.
It’s time to give first-time homebuyers a leg up and more opportunities to save for their future.
Too many Michiganders are finding it impossible to buy their first home. That’s not sustainable.
I’m introducing a bill to create tax-free savings accounts for first-time homebuyers.
First RFK Jr. gutted our public health agencies, now Trump is purging the National Science Foundation.
Their anti-science agenda is clear: if the facts don’t fit the narrative, fire the experts.
Today I introduced the Release Your Taxes Act. I released mine this year, and now it’s time for the rest of Congress to do the same. Michiganders are tired of politicians getting rich in office.
I released my 2025 tax returns, and now I’m urging all Members of Congress and candidates for Congress to do the same. I’m not a millionaire, and at a time when Michiganders are sick and tired of politicians running for office to get rich, we owe the public the transparency they deserve.
