Right now in America 🇺🇸 Imagine being violently interrogated at the airport for no reason. You’re stripped naked, forced in cold showers, not allowed to sleep, and denied medication. This happened here for no reason. The actions of this administration must be stopped. www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...
What if everyone who has a Tesla or is thinking about buying one bought a Rivian?Made by 9,000 good people in my district #IL17. That’s the assignment. Let’s do this, America! 🇺🇸
If you don’t know why I care so much about the education of our children, watch this clip from seven years ago. I won’t sit around while Elon Musk tries to destroy our education system. Every child, no matter where they live is entitled to a special level of learning.
My NO vote on the Musk CR in the House was to protect services and shield Illinoisans from dangerous cuts. This is not the time for appeasement. We must stand unified against Musk’s attacks and I am urging Senators to stand firm.
Congresswoman Sarah McBride is one of the most decent people I’ve ever met. I will always stand up for every LGBTQ+ person…whether they are in Congress or anywhere back home.
It’s all going according to the Project 2025 plan (which Trump lied about knowing nothing). I believe now is the time for protest and coalition building. Dems are also fighting with lawsuits after all EO’s. GOP Reps have to hear from their constituents, R’s and D’s that what’s going on isn’t right
Hey! With earliest of the year 70s possible in local history, it’s a good time to look closely at your ceiling fans to make sure they’re working for your benefit. It’s also a good time to look at your government to make sure it’s working to your benefit.
I took a call from a family-owned lumber company in Western Illinois who said their next shipment of 2x4’s from Canada is labeled “Cost TBD.” “We have been in business since 1984 and if lumber prices go up, we will go out of business.”
Trump: "We don't need Canada's lumber. So what I'm doing is I'll be signing an executive order freeing up our forests so that we're allowed to take down trees and make a lot of money and then re-harvest trees ... we don't need anything from Canada."
I can’t speak for others, but I am a Democrat who does not believe this is business as usual. We are working letters and legislation, working with business leaders and nonprofit leaders, and amplifying voices of veterans. Coalition building before the fight is the most important work right now.
While the President is focused on punishing Canada for some reason, he’s ignoring the real Americans who have grocery and gas prices going up, medicine prices going up, insurance prices going up, everything going up including unemployed workers. An incredible cost we pay with no reward in the end.
