Trump is choosing to starve children despite a federal court ordering his Administration to distribute SNAP funding. It's cruel and lawless, just like the rest of his Administration's actions.
Today I led 13 of my colleagues in sending a letter to the Trump Admin to demand they ensure journalists can freely exercise their First Amendment rights by allowing them to safely access and report on demonstrations across the country.
Read the letter below ⬇️

President Trump’s unwillingness to release funds for SNAP is cruel, & the sad truth is that these consequences will ripple across the country.
I joined @wyden.senate.gov at Marion Polk Food Share to drop some food off, tour the facility, & discuss how we're fighting to make sure nobody goes hungry.
House Republicans have no intention of returning from their super-extended vacation... what is it now? Day 34?
When asked when Republicans will return to D.C., Mike Johnson responded, "What's the point?"
Speaker Johnson, the DAMN POINT is to HELP AMERICANS.
This Native American Heritage Month, I’m proud to honor the diverse cultures & traditions of Oregon's Tribal communities — including the Grand Ronde Tribe in #OR06.
Not just during November, but every month, we pay tribute to the countless contributions they have made to our nation.
As the days get shorter, remember that feeling down might not just be a case of the “winter blues.” It could be Seasonal Affective Disorder, a type of depression characterized by a seasonal pattern.

On Día de los Muertos, we come together to remember and honor the lives of our loved ones who are no longer with us. Today, I invite you to celebrate them, including your pets, by putting out their favorite meal, fotos y recuerdos.
Feliz Día de los Muertos 🧡
Republicans are denying food assistance to 42 million Americans — including 16 million CHILDREN, 8 million SENIORS, 1.2 million VETERANS, & 750,000 OREGONIANS.
The Trump Administration is breaking the law by refusing to use contingency funds. They must follow the law & issue November benefits now!

What is Mike Johnson scared of on this Halloween?
It’s almost like he's hiding from the American people who are demanding he get his caucus in order to reopen the government… soooo spooky
Tomorrow, over 750,000 Oregonians will not receive their SNAP benefits for November.
The sad reality is that Trump could fully fund SNAP through November if he wanted to. Instead, he is refusing to release these funds to feed families in every community across our country.
Hear from me 👇
Mike Johnson had the f*cking nerve to say that Democrats were not in D.C. today to do the work of the American people. Seriously?? The only reason Rs are in town is to go to a f*cking WH Halloween party. They are telling the American people, "Let them eat candy." For tomorrow, there will be nothing.
Wishing all Oregonians a happy and safe Halloween! 🎃👻

After you view plans, let me know if your premiums increased so I can continue to do my job and fight for lower health care costs.
We owe our servicemembers a debt of gratitude for defending our nation. They shouldn't have to worry if they'll receive their next paycheck during a government shutdown.
That is why I support bipartisan legislation to ensure that they get paid during Republicans’ shutdown.
Listen to my message 👇
Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill was a massive gut punch to affordability in America, and allowing for the ACA tax credits to expire would be a devastating blow to families' wallets.
Republicans must cancel their extended vacations and get back to work to protect your health care from rising.
Sue & Steve are two of my constituents who are about to see their health care costs skyrocket because Republicans want to take away the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credit — forcing them to choose between higher costs or going without health care.
Listen to their heartbreaking & preventable stories.
Speaker Johnson, it is long overdue for you to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva.
SWEAR HER IN.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
