Lori Trahan

Lori Ann Trahan is an American businesswoman and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Massachusetts's 3rd congressional district since 2019. The district covers Boston's northwestern suburbs, and includes Lowell, Lawrence, Concord, and Trahan's hometown, Westford. A Democrat, she formerly served as chief of staff to Representative Marty Meehan in Massachusetts's 5th congressional district.

As a mother to 15- and 11-year old daughters, I am furious. This is not immigration enforcement. It’s the deliberate targeting of a child to inflict maximum pain on her family. Two months ago, ICE detained five-year-old Liam Ramos in Minnesota under similar circumstances.
Yesterday, a 14-year-old girl from Marlborough was detained by federal immigration agents. A child with no criminal history was taken into custody in an apparent overnight attempt to use her as a hostage to coerce her father into turning himself in for deportation.
At a moment when American servicemembers are deployed abroad defending our nation, these nominees are answering that same call, and our community is better for it. To the families in the room today: you raised patriots. Thank you. Congratulations to each of our nominees. We are so proud of you. 🇺🇸
I had the privilege of celebrating some of the most remarkable young people in our district — the nominees to our nation’s service academies. These young men and women didn’t choose the easy path. They chose to serve.
Today, my team and I volunteered at the Merrimack Valley Food Bank where we packed hundreds of bags of healthy foods that students across the Merrimack Valley will be able to bring home to their families for the weekend.
