Note that this seems natural now, but was not obvious at all for a heavily Catholic state 30-40 years ago. It took dedicated and courageous effort.
I’m always amazed by the talent and grit of our community. Congratulations to Tyler Andrews from Concord, who just broke the record for the fastest ascent of Mount Everest.
Truly a testament to his impressive determination and depth of experience!
There’s no better state in America than Massachusetts for people to live openly and freely themselves.
I know it. You know it. And now USA Today has confirmed it to the rest of America.
As the daughter of a union ironworker and a former Division I volleyball player, organized labor and sports are at the core of who I am today.
That’s why it was such an honor to speak at the World Players Summit, hosted at @aflcio.org headquarters!
Congratulations to all the seniors graduating from high school this spring! This is such a special moment for you and your families – the culmination of years of work.
Your futures are bright, and you have an entire community of support cheering you on in your next chapter!
More than sixty years ago, the Supreme Court's decision in Griswold v. Connecticut established a principle that has guided us ever since: health care decisions belong to individuals and their doctors, not politicians.
Today that principle is under attack. We will not go back.
Without a comprehensive federal strategy on AI, the most powerful corporations will set their own rules. We’ve already seen the devastating consequences of that approach with social media.
We can’t let that happen again. We need a bipartisan framework, and we need it now.
Today, we honor their courage, sacrifice and the ideals they gave everything to protect. May we never take them for granted. (2/2)
82 years ago, over 73,000 Americans stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.
Many never came home. Among them was Private Dominic R. Narciso from Foxborough, who gave his life so future generations could live in freedom. (1/2)
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie and her parents, Amelia and Will.
Natalie is with us thanks to the amazing nurses, physicians and staff at Boston Children’s Hospital.
I’ll always fight to make sure children like Natalie can access the high quality care they need!
Artificial intelligence models are getting more powerful each day. We need a national strategy that prioritizes safety and national security at the federal level while ensuring states can protect their residents from AI harms.
It has to be bipartisan. We have to get this right.
Today we #WearOrange to honor every life lost to gun violence.
As a mother, I’m committed to honoring those we've lost and fighting for a future where every child can grow up without the fear of a mass shooting in their school, at their local park or their house of worship.
The House passed War Powers legislation to end Donald Trump’s forever war in Iran and bring our servicemembers home.
Now, Republican Senators must do the same.
What great news! Haverhill public schools were recognized for sustained improvement across literacy, mathematics and attendance.
This is a testament to the students, teachers and district leaders working hard to make sure our kids have access to the best education possible!
The threats AI poses to our national security, safety and workforce are here and growing by the day.
Congressman Jay Obernolte and I released draft legislation to protect workers, establish real accountability for the most powerful AI systems, and position the U.S. to lead on AI.
I’m on my way to the House Floor to vote YES on a War Powers legislation to end Donald Trump’s war in Iran.
Two weeks ago, House Republicans pathetically pulled this resolution from the floor to buy Trump a few more days.
Time’s up.
One of the best parts of this job is welcoming Massachusetts students to our nation’s capital and making sure they have the chance to see their government in action.
It was great to meet with such an impressive group of students from Overlook Middle School and answer some of their questions!
Last week, I visited Oscar’s Taqueria and Thinking Flower Bakery in Boxborough to hear how federal investments helped them grow. Three years later, the impact is clear.
We can’t wait for another crisis to act to get small businesses the support they need to succeed in our communities.
NEW: I just cosponsored War Powers legislation to stop Donald Trump from dragging American servicemembers into another foreign conflict – this time in Cuba.
America cannot keep risking the lives of our troops for regime-change fantasies while families at home pay the price.
Rest in peace, Correction Officer Edwards.
We are grateful for your 28 years of dedicated service to keep our communities and our Commonwealth safe.
