I joined dozens of my colleagues in demanding answers about the arrest and detention of Rumesya Ozturk. The right to free speech is the bedrock of our nation. We cannot allow it to be eroded.

As America faces ongoing measles outbreaks and the rapid spread of bird flu, firing the health officials who respond to disease outbreaks is the LAST thing that we should be doing. These senseless layoffs will make America less safe and less healthy.
These cuts don’t just take food off the table – they undermine the tireless work of food banks, which are often the last line of defense against hunger. No child in America should have to go to bed hungry or skip lunch at school so Republicans’ billionaire donors can get another tax cut.
Watching them together was a reminder of what it means to stand by someone in every joy and every challenge. My heart is with Governor Dukakis and their entire family as they mourn this tremendous loss.
Kitty and Mike shared a love that was deep, genuine, and enduring—a love that, even on her last day, was as strong as it was when they married 62 years ago. Their partnership was one of true devotion, rooted in an unshakable commitment to each other and to the values they held dear.
Since seeking public office, I was fortunate to spend time with Kitty and Governor Dukakis, often in the warmth of their home, where they welcomed me with the same generosity and grace they extended to so many.
I’ve spent the past few days reflecting on the incredible life Kitty Dukakis. I’m heartbroken by the loss of such a remarkable woman whose kindness, strength and unwavering spirit touched so many lives – including mine.

The American people deserve a government that defends their freedoms, not one that tramples on them. ICE must immediately provide an update on Rumesya Ozturk's whereabouts, the justification for her detention, and the legal authority under which she was arrested.

Elon Musk’s parents were rich. He never had to worry about how he was going to pay for his next meal or keep a roof over his head. It's no surprise that he couldn't care less how dismantling Social Security will impact seniors who depend on their benefits to make ends meet.
Air traffic controllers in #MA3 and across the nation work tirelessly to keep our skies safe, but Trump's reckless cuts to the FAA have made their jobs infinitely harder. Yesterday, I met with NATCA and heard about the immense challenges that controllers are facing because of these harmful cuts.

And let’s be clear: this wasn’t about orange wedges and pickup times. This was about the lives of our brave U.S. servicemembers. We’re incredibly fortunate no Americans were harmed because of this incompetence.
Watching these officials dodge accountability, twist themselves in knots, and point fingers has been nothing short of disgraceful. Every single person in that chat knew better — and they failed.
Our nation’s most senior national security officials failed to meet even that minimal standard before engaging in a classified discussion — never mind that they were using Signal, a platform long flagged as insecure for sensitive communications.
You know what happens when we start a chat? And when new moms are added? We do a quick sound-off so everyone can identify who is in the group so we know who we’re talking to. Basic stuff.
Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: This is a shocking betrayal by Trump’s top defense officials and a total breakdown of common sense. We’ve all been in a group chat. I’m in one for my daughter’s lacrosse team where we coordinate snacks and travel.
It’s not the children of the well-off and well-connected who will feel the pain of this irresponsible decision – it’s kids from families like the one I grew up in, the ones who rely on public schools to receive a quality education that will set themselves up for success.
Pete Hegseth’s use of a non-secure group chat to discuss pending military strikes wasn’t just reckless – it endangered U.S. servicemembers. The Defense Secretary failed in his most critical duty. President Trump must demand his resignation immediately.
