I was also deeply honored to be named NRHA’s 2026 Rural Health Congressional Champion. As Co-Chair of the Rural Health Caucus, I’ll keep showing up and fighting for real, durable investment in rural healthcare.

It was an important week for rural health, and I’m grateful for every conversation. Mahalo to our health centers and all of our rural health advocates for sharing your stories and bringing clarity to what’s really at stake, and for the work you do every single day.

What are CAPAC Members eating for Lunar New Year?
We asked them to share their favorite dishes—check out their responses!
For those unable to attend my Wahiawā Town Hall on Thursday, February 19, it will be available to watch live on `Ōlelo Channel 54 at 7:00-8:00pm HST. It will also be available for viewing on my Youtube channel @repjilltokuda and my Facebook page.
Mahalo for those who have already RSPV'd!
At a time when so much feels uncertain, gatherings like this remind us of the strength and beauty of our AANHPI community. Kung Hei Fat Choi, and wishing you all a happy Year of the Horse! 🧧🐎
Had a wonderful time celebrating Lunar New Year with our APAICS and @capac.house.gov ʻohana. There is something special about reconnecting with friends and coming together to honor the generations of courage and resilience that brought us here.
We don’t honor America by whitewashing the past or using pretty language to cover pain. Celebrating our nation's greatness without truth is just propaganda.
As America approaches its 250th, we have a choice to make — will we be real patriots and fight to ensure that ALL our collective stories, from slavery, to the internment of the Japanese during WWII, to the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian kingdom, will remain a part of our country's history?
I am holding a town hall in Wahiawā next Thursday to discuss policies affecting Hawaiʻi, address concerns about the Trump administration, and answer questions from community members.
RSVP at bit.ly/wahiawatownhall26. I look forward to seeing you there!
I’m taking your voices with me and will keep showing up. Hope to see you at the next one!
Mahalo everyone who joined Saturday’s Town Hall & Ag listening session on Kauaʻi. I’m grateful for the chance to talk story & hear your manaʻo—on small business & FEMA funding, ICE concerns, accountability in Washington, protecting our keiki on social media & the rising costs impacting our farmers.
Mahalo to everyone who showed up, and will continue to show up, until an agreement is reached.
Glad to express my strong support of UNAC/UHCP healthcare workers and stand shoulder to shoulder with those who provide lifesaving care to the members of our community.
After months of negotiations, it's time to respect the hands that care for us and give them the dignity and aloha they deserve.
The Trump administration is ordering the National Park Service to remove signs that tell the truth about slavery, the genocide of Indigenous peoples & the incarceration of Japanese Americans.
History is a warning. The question isn’t whether it will repeat itself—it’s whether we'll let it.
On a hilltop in Santa Fe, a single stone marker tells the story of my jiji who was incarcerated as a so-called “enemy alien,” while his son served this country in uniform.
Today, that truth is being erased. This is whitewashing history.
Congrats to Michael, Talei, Reese, and Chelsey for representing Hawaiʻi so well in a nationwide competition with nearly 14,000 student entries. A big mahalo to the educators who supported and guided them along the way!
Surprised this year’s Congressional App Challenge winners and celebrated their incredible work. Students from Le Jardin Academy, Mid-Pacific Institute and King Kekaulike High School designed very impressive apps with real-world impact & thoughtful design.
The Big Ugly Bill gave ICE seven times its annual funding while cutting Medicaid and food assistance. We cannot keep giving ICE more funding while Americans struggle to survive and face violence in their communities. Accountability is non-negotiable.
I stood outside of ICE headquarters with my CAPAC, DWC, and CPC colleagues in solidarity with the victims of ICE’s violence, due process violations, and lack of accountability. This is a failure of leadership. We are demanding the immediate removal of Kristi Noem.
It was an emotional day, and it reinforced my commitment to ensuring the humane treatment of all detainees.
