I am holding town halls in Wahiawā and Pāhoa next week to offer assistance with federal issues, cover policies affecting Hawaiʻi, and answer questions & concerns in the community. Hearing from you directly is important to me as we continue to navigate these times. I look forward to seeing you there!

I sent a letter to the Administration demanding a full breakdown of workers who have accepted the 'fork in the road' offer.
Bullying our federal employees to leave their jobs without any clarity only jeopardizes everyday Americans & the critical services they rely on.
We need answers. #ForkOff 🥄
Worst. President. Ever.
With my Waiʻanae Coast Comprehensive Health Center ʻohana today, here to remind everyone that when we talk about funding for Medicaid, federally qualified health centers, SNAP—these are the faces on the frontline making sure our people are okay.
We will continue fighting for you!

We should be supporting family farmers, lowering costs, creating jobs, and improving rural infrastructure. Instead, mega-donor Elon Musk is punching yet another hole in the rural economy by illegally stopping USAID food programs. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

February is Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi — Hawaiian Language Month.
Language is integral to our culture & identity, and it is how traditions are passed down for generations. CAPAC stands with the advocates working to preserve the native language of Hawaiʻi.
E mau ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi!

The federal judge reaffirmed what we've known all along: President Trump's executive order to end birthright citizenship is unconstitutional.
The president is not a king, and we will continue to hold Trump accountable when he violates the constitutional rights of U.S. citizens.

🚨 NEWS: I led over 150 House Democrats in a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent demanding answers on Elon Musk's unprecedented access to US citizen's private data and Treasury payment systems.
The Trump Administration has been pressuring federal workers to resign & threatening mass layoffs if for those who refuse to accept his bogus payout offer. We have 43,000 hardworking federal employees in Hawaiʻi. We hear you, see you, & will fight for you.
Remember, when we talk about federal funding freezes or overreach in government, these are the real human faces who are impacted. This is what's at stake—and I'm committed to fighting alongside our people to ensure they continue to receive the support they need.
Mahalo to the National Federation of the Blind Hawaiʻi for coming by to advocate for disability rights & continued federal protections for our blind community. https://buff.ly/4jMU0Yo
Congress returns to session this week & I am committed to fighting any direct threats to the stability and safety of our families, communities, and country regardless of who is in power.
It's a blatant assault & violation of checks & balances. President Musk and Trump have proven only one thing: they will do what they want and they don't care who gets hurt. We are not going to let billionaires in the White House trample on the rights of everyday Americans.
Within two weeks, we've seen sweeping attacks on federal funding & workers, critical government agencies, non-profits, immigrants, seen jobs given to political loyalists, and witnessed the illegal seizure of sensitive Treasury data by an un-elected official.
Mahalo to everyone that has reached out to my office with their concerns about the actions of this Administration. I share your anger & frustration. 🧵 https://buff.ly/4gr2Po8
Arrived at the Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival on the Big Island just in time to watch the taiko drummers! 🌸 A heartfelt mahalo to @hicountyparksandrec for their hard work in making this festival a success and for bringing us all together at this special time of year.
Happy to be back at my alma mater Castle High for the Freshman Academy Meet & Greet. It was heartwarming to hear their future career dreams and talk about my own path to Congress. I know they have bright futures ahead of them. Mahalo for having me and Go Knights!
Visited the FEMA Distribution Center to discuss how they prepare for disasters & get necessary goods—like water—to the neighbor islands. Their work is essential to keeping our communities safe & prepared. Mahalo for having me!
With all the attacks on federal funding, meeting with local leaders was a top priority this week. Mahalo to Senator Kouchi, Rep. Nakamura, and Mayor Blangiardi for making time to share updates & concerns. We are committed to our people getting the resources they were promised.
As a descendant of Japanese Americans interned during WWII, Fred Korematsu's fight against this unjust imprisonment is personal, and a constant reminder to combat racial prejudice. I’m proud to join my CAPAC colleagues today in honoring his legacy.
