Egg producers got caught colluding to inflate prices—and Trump let them off with a measly $3.3 million fine. One company alone made $1.2 billion in profit last year. Big corporations cheat, and Trump lets them off the hook.
DOGE and the Trump administration pushed 7,800 workers out of Social Security. Now it's scrambling to hire people back as seniors face longer waits for fewer appointments. What did Trump and DOGE accomplish besides making it harder for people to get the benefits they earned?
The CFPB is supposed to protect consumers. But Trump has used it to protect his big corporate donors instead. I asked Trump's CFPB nominee if he'll stand up to the corruption.
Warren: The CFPB sued Capital One, your current employer, for cheating customers out of $2 billion.

Warren: But after Capital One donated $1 million to [Trump’s] inaguration, the case was dropped.

Warren: Will you commit to notifying Congress if the
White House contacts you about enforcement against [...] a big donor that cheated families?
Johnson: I don’t anticipate that it would [happen].

Warren: That’s not my question.
My question is, if it does, will you notify Congress?

Johnson: I‘m not going to engage in a hypothetical —

Warren: So, the answer is no.
You will not try to hose out the corruption.
Donald Trump and RFK Jr. cut the team tracking cyclospora by more than 70%. Now we've got a nationwide outbreak. We should be investing in public health — not gutting it.
I've long fought to ban congressional stock trading, but the House Republican-passed bill has MAJOR LOOPHOLES. Lawmakers can continue owning and selling stocks - so it won't solve the problem. Not gonna fly in the Senate. Members of Congress should not own, buy, or sell stocks.
Following years of demands that members of Congress limit their stock trading, the House passed a bill that would bar lawmakers, their spouses and dependent children from buying individual stocks but allow them to keep and sell stocks they already own.
A few giant corporations dominate the American seed industry. They abuse the patent system and drive up prices for farmers and for families buying dinner. I've got a bill to crack down on big agriculture and lower food costs across the country. Let's get it done.
Three Democratic senators are introducing legislation that would limit major agricultural seed companies' power by protecting farmers' rights to save, research, and replant seeds.
The new draft of the Senate GOP crypto bill does nothing to stop President Trump from making his next $1.4 billion from crypto. It’ll supercharge Trump’s crypto corruption. This bill should be dead on arrival.
The President's war with Iran is such a fiasco that he's now back to threatening to commit war crimes. This is wrong and must stop. Congress needs to end this war, not rubber stamp a $1.5 trillion military budget.
Trump: "From this point forward, any time Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the US will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran."
From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
The Trump admin WITHHELD that nearly 100 U.S. troops were injured by Iran in the past 2 weeks. 400+ Americans have been injured. 18 service members have been killed. It's a tremendous sacrifice. But Trump can't even explain how America is better off or how his war will end.
Students deserve an education that will improve their lives, not leave them jobless and buried in debt. But for too long, the cops have been off the beat. That's why I'm introducing a bill to overhaul our college quality assurance system. It’s time we put students first.
Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Dick Durbin reintroduced a bill that would strengthen college accreditation and prevent unmanageable student debt. https://bit.ly/4flMRwU
Another private equity victim: FIRE TRUCKS. PE has ripped off fire departments and overcharged for trucks and engines, putting our safety at risk. Today, I introduced bipartisan legislation that'll force the FTC to investigate this. Our fire fighters deserve better.
