Americans are not just losing this food assistance out of nowhere. The Trump administration and Congressional Republicans passed a bill that will take away SNAP from families so they could fund a tax break for their wealthy friends.
The Affordable Care Act lets Wisconsinites sleep at night knowing that a health emergency won’t send them into bankruptcy. But that security is on the brink of being stripped away from millions of families. I heard from Wausau families about the worry & pain this will cause them.
Today, we mark 4 years since the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy. As we remember the lives lost and victims of this senseless violence, we recognize that though the wounds of this tragedy still haven’t healed, the Wisconsin community will keep standing together, stronger.
Living your life as your true, authentic self shouldn’t put a target on your back. But that’s not the case for too many transgender Americans, and it must stop. I stand with the trans community as we remember the lives taken in hateful acts of violence.
The President’s call for the murder of Americans is simply un-American. When I say there is no place in our country for political violence, I mean it. It doesn’t matter who says it or why. There is no justification. Every American should condemn this in no uncertain terms.
Trump’s devastating cuts have stranded thousands of Americans in the middle of life-saving clinical trials. There simply is no good reason to take this hope away from families, and it’s appalling.
Every single victim deserves justice, and every American deserves the truth. Tonight, we stood in solidarity with survivors and are finally getting transparency and accountability. It’s past time for the Trump administration to release the Epstein files.
Americans know the price they’re paying at the cash register. Instead of trying to convince Americans that costs are down, Trump needs to actually do what he said he would on Day 1. I’m ready to work with him to do it. www.cnn.com/2025/10/24/p...
Wisconsin small business owners and families will either have to pay sky-high health care prices or forgo insurance altogether. Today, I heard from Janine and Kim in Green Bay about these exact fears if these tax breaks are ripped away.
If Republicans take away these health care tax breaks, small businesses like those here in Madison will struggle to stay afloat, hire staff, and keep their doors open. They shouldn’t have to choose between caring for their employees or risking their business’s success.
The current health care fight in Washington proves now more than ever, we need a health care system that works for Wisconsin families. It was great to be with the Medical College of Wisconsin to talk about our path forward to do just that.
Today, I stood with Nancy & Erica in Milwaukee to make clear the fight for lower health care costs isn’t over. They are two of the 275,000 Wisconsinites who rely on health care tax breaks and are scrambling to figure out how to afford care next year if Republicans refuse to act.
I put forward a simple amendment to the government funding bill that would’ve extended health care tax breaks to give folks some breathing room. Every. Single. Republican. Voted NO. This fight isn’t over.
