First, they came for Americans' Medicaid. Now, Trump is coming after seniors’ Social Security. The Trump administration needs to stop trying to raise costs on families and instead, protect their hard-earned benefits.
Families across America are starting to get notices from their health care providers that their premiums are going to skyrocket 75%. This is happening now — not in a few months or a year. Right now. That’s what this fight is about.
Wisconsinites have made it clear: They cannot afford their health care costs to skyrocket. Republicans have made it clear: They will shut down the government instead of lowering Americans' health care costs.
Democrats have made it crystal clear. We refuse to help Republicans take health care away from millions of working families. Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. If the government shuts down, it is 100% on them.
This isn't just beneath the office of the President of the United States — it also makes clear that he sees shutting down the government and terminating health care for millions of Americans as one big joke.
I spent last week talking with families who told me they absolutely cannot afford their health insurance premiums to skyrocket. Instead of listening to them, my Republican colleagues seem set on raising their health care costs.
If Republicans get their way, millions of families across the country will get a letter in the mail saying their health insurance premiums are set to spike next year. There’s still time to stop this by passing my bill to stop costs from rising for Wisconsinites.
RFK, Jr. thinks he knows better than women and their doctors when it comes to their own reproductive health care. He doesn’t. Mifepristone is safe and effective. This is yet another attempt by Donald Trump to control women’s rights and freedoms, and it needs to stop.
Let me get this straight. Instead of negotiating with Democrats to save millions of Americans from losing their health care, Donald Trump is threatening to fire federal workers and take away services Americans rely on. This is not how Congress is supposed to work.

Today, I heard from Milwaukee families and small business owners who know just how expensive health care is going to get for all of us if we let Republicans take away health care tax breaks from working families.
Wisconsinites want lower costs – not higher ones. I heard from some Wisconsinites at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston on what it will mean if Republicans refuse to act and jack up their health care costs.
