Today is Medicaid Matters Day of Action, and I’m speaking out because nearly 15 million Californians rely on Medicaid—known in our state as Medi-Cal—for their health care.
That’s more than 1 in 3 Californians who depend on this program to see a doctor, afford prescriptions & get the care they need.

Social Security is a lifeline for people in Sacramento County and across America.
I’m committed to protecting what they’ve earned through a lifetime of hard work.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are trying to gut the Social Security Administration from the inside by closing local offices, cutting staff and slashing the services people rely on to access their benefits.
That’s unacceptable.

The Trump Administration admitted in court that Abrego Garcia was deported due to “administrative error.” They have produced zero evidence that he is a “foreign terrorist.” The Administration must comply with the Supreme Court’s ruling and facilitate his release from prison.

Happy Vaisakhi! Wishing all celebrating across the country many blessings as you honor this auspicious occasion with friends and family.
That’s why I’m leading a bipartisan effort with Rep. Austin Scott to restore this critical funding and reaffirm America’s leadership in combating hunger and malnutrition abroad.

Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) is a low-cost and effective form of life-saving food aid. It fights global hunger and saves lives while supporting American farmers and agricultural communities.
Despite its success, RUTF funding fell victim to DOGE cuts at USAID.
Happy Passover to all who are celebrating in Sacramento County and around the world.
As Jewish families come together to remember the journey from slavery to freedom, I wish you and your loved ones a meaningful Seder and holiday rooted in the enduring values of resilience and freedom.
This will threaten health care access for more than 70 million Americans, including low-income children, seniors in nursing homes and people with disabilities.
I will continue doing everything I can to stop these devastating cuts and protect the care that millions of Americans depend on.
I once again voted NO on the Republican budget.
What passed today sets the stage for the largest Medicaid cut in American history.
The SAVE Act imposes costly and unnecessary hurdles that will disenfranchise millions of American citizens in an attempt to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.
American elections are safe and secure.
I am voting NO.
I just voted NO on the Republican budget that makes devastating cuts to Medicaid, reduces food assistance and raises health care costs for many hardworking Sacramento County families.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are trying to dismantle Social Security.
This is unacceptable.
We must hold them accountable and protect this vital lifeline for millions of American seniors.
President Trump’s tariffs are the largest and most regressive tax on the American people in modern history.
There is no “emergency” justification for this.
That’s why I’m joining @meeks.house.gov to force a vote to end his authority to unilaterally impose them.
Donald Trump’s tariffs are a tax on hardworking families.
Trump's plan could raise prices by an average of $3,800 per household—hitting working-class Americans hardest.
We should focus on lowering costs, not making life harder for families already struggling to make ends meet.
On #AANHPIEqualPay Day, I’m joining my @capac.house.gov colleagues to support the Paycheck Fairness Act and to push the Trump Administration to collect better data so we can fix this gap.
AANHPI women still earn just 83 cents for every dollar earned by white men.
That pay gap means less money for food, housing, and health care—and it hurts families.
Every day that Republicans fail to stand up to Trump, his tariff war will continue wiping out Americans’ hard-earned savings.
Enough is enough. It’s time for Congress to do its job and stop this chaos before it costs Americans another cent.

In the coming months, I will continue working with local leaders to ensure that the USPS implements the OIG's recommendations to restore public trust and ensure that Sacramento County residents have the secure and reliable mail services they deserve.
