Last year, Latinas on average made 54¢ for every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men.
Today is #LatinaEqualPay Day, an important reminder of the wage gap that Latinas face in the United States. It is time to close the Latina wage gap and demand that everyone is paid equal wages for equal work.
Republicans must come to the table to help create a bipartisan solution that reopens the government and stops Americans’ health care premiums from doubling. It’s time to END the Republican health care crisis. #TrumpShutUSDown
Steering & Policy @housedemocrats.bsky.social are holding a hearing today to hear from Americans and experts on how Republicans’ health care crisis is raising costs and reducing access to health care.
The truth is simple — Republicans want to rip health care away from 15 million Americans so they can give tax breaks to their billionaire donors.
Watch us LIVE: @housedemocrats.bsky.social hold press conference on Republicans’ health care crisis and how health care premiums will double and triple for hardworking Americans:

We must bring the hostages home, get humanitarian aid to starving families in Palestine, and end a war that has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.
We remember the victims and the innocent Palestinian civilians who have lost their lives over the last 2 years and stand with all of their families in grief.
Two years ago today, more than 1,200 innocent lives — including dozens of Americans — were brutally taken in the horrific October 7 attacks in Israel by Hamas.
We’re on Day 7 of the government shutdown and Republicans are STILL out on vacation.
Working Americans cannot afford to wait and pay thousands more in health care premiums. I’m here with my @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues to get to work, reopen the government, and save health care.
Republicans’ refusal to extend the tax credits and re-open the government, on top of their previous cuts to Medicaid, put community health centers like CCCHLA at risk of closure. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to make sure you can afford and access health care in your community.
Was in #SouthGate today to hear from Complete Care Community Health Center on how underserved communities and clinics like theirs will suffer if the health care tax credits expire.
This shutdown is irresponsible and dangerous — Republicans own it. Democrats are ready to reopen the government and reach a bipartisan funding agreement that protects health care.

Community health centers are at risk of closing because of cuts to Medicaid and the shutdown is only making things worse — if Congress doesn’t pass a funding law, these centers won’t receive their grants, ripping EVEN MORE resources away from clinics like St. John’s Community Health in my district.
It was great to see so many job seekers at our annual jobs fair! Our jobs fairs match hundreds of job seekers with employers looking to fill critical, good jobs. Thank you to our partners and employers who made today possible.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to protect health care tax credits that keep premiums low — while Republicans took another week off to keep the government shut down.
Visited Harbor-UCLA and spoke with hospital administrators to hear what the Republican cuts to health care mean for hospitals and patients. These cuts will make ER wait times longer, hospitals less efficient, and patient outcomes worse.
Republicans need to come back from vacation, re-open the government, and work with @housedemocrats.bsky.social to address the Republican-made health care crisis.
KFF finds a majority of Americans that buy their own health insurance won’t be able to afford it if health care tax credits expire. Democrats and most Americans agree: we need a bipartisan solution to reopen the government and lower the cost of health care.
As Congress debates the future of the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credits, new KFF polling finds significant concern about affordability if they expire at the end of the year.
