It is essential that we take steps today to prepare our nation and our workforce for the economic consequences that are rapidly approaching with the growing adoption of AI. That’s why I’ve introduced the Workforce of the Future Act with @replamonica.bsky.social. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
Senator Durbin is absolutely right: the power to declare war lies with Congress. The American people want the administration to focus on lowering costs for hardworking families—not instigating another regime change war to secure more oil reserves for Big Oil.
Durbin: "Any president before he engages in act of war has to have the authorization of the American people through Congress ... this president is preparing for an invasion of Venezuela. Simply said. And if the American people are in favor of that, I'd be surprised."
It is deeply disappointing that Congressional Republicans continue to block an extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits that help working-class families afford health care. Tens of millions of Americans, including 48,000 Missourians in #MO05, will see their premiums sky rocket because of it.
BREAKING: The Senate rejected legislation to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits, as costs are set to rise for millions of Americans in 2026.
The president’s extreme and inhumane mass deportation agenda undermines the civil liberties of American citizens and endangers beloved members of our community. We all must continue to stand up, speak out, and demand accountability for these abuses of power.
MINNEAPOLIS: “All I did was step outside as a Somali American citizen, and I got chased by a masked person, assaulted, kidnapped. It was inhumane. If this is what’s happening to a 🇺🇸 citizen on camera, imagine what could happen to your loved ones.”
After securing $15 million in federal funding to support the redevelopment of Parade Park, I’m thrilled that the Missouri Housing Development Commission has approved a package of federal and state support, demonstrating significant backing for affordable housing. www.kctv5.com/2025/12/10/s...
After starting a trade war that has devastated Missouri farmers, the president is giving a Band-Aid to American producers that won’t arrive until next year. Our farmers want open markets and a level playing field—not another handout that won’t address the crisis.
Soybean farmer: This is a Band-Aid on an open wound. I've been farming 21 years now, and this is by far the most serious economic situation that I've experienced. The American farmer is the best in the world. We simply need a level playing field and opportunity moving forward
Millions of American families are about to see their health care premiums more than double in cost if ACA tax credits are not extended. But Republicans don’t care and are willing to let health care costs skyrocket. www.politico.com/news/2025/12...
While colleges should provide rigorous curriculums that guarantee students will receive the best education & experience possible, we must also ensure students are not being exploited. With numerous allegations of abuse at veterinary schools, I’m demanding answers. cleaver.house.gov/media-center...
The Trump family has made billions of dollars in the past year by selling access to the White House. But hardworking American families should be forced to ration food and withhold toys from their children this holiday season because of his failed policies.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."
Americans are struggling to stay afloat because of the president’s reckless tariff taxes and regressive economic policies. Instead of cutting taxes for billionaires, Congress should be focused on extending ACA tax credits and providing relief to hardworking families.
NY FED: Percentage of households who think their financial situation will be better off over the next year: Matches a two-year low. @nicktimiraos.bsky.social www.newyorkfed.org/microeconomi...
As Missouri families struggle to keep up with the rising costs of groceries, housing, and health care, the president gave himself an “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus” on the economy. Completely out of touch with the needs of working-class Americans.
POLITICO: I wonder what grade you'd give the economy TRUMP: A+ POLITICO: A+? TRUMP: A+++++
