Today, SCOTUS is hearing arguments on Trump’s illegal push to end birthright citizenship—a bedrock of our Constitution. As a member of the Litigation Task Force, I proudly joined amicus briefs defending our 14th Amendment because citizenship cannot & should not be a political pawn.
House Republicans are so focused on appeasing Trump & giving tax cuts to billionaires that they are gutting essential health care programs and providers. I called out their cuts throughout E&Cs' 26-hour markup & will continue to do so as they try to jam this monstrosity of a bill through Congress.
The room filled back up today at the Energy & Commerce markup, but it was a small, intrepid group of women's health advocates who stayed with us all night. We see you. We thank you. And we will keep fighting back against the GOP's cruel efforts to gut Planned Parenthood & undermine women's health.
We’ve been in this markup for nearly 22 hours, and Energy & Commerce Democrats are still going strong as we stand up to Trump’s ‘One Big, Bogus Bill’ that will kick 13.7 million Americans off their health care.
HAPPENING NOW: Republicans are putting health care on the chopping block, threatening coverage for millions of Americans. Democrats are fighting back ⬇️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj9I...

Planned Parenthood is wildly popular and a trusted source for health care across the country. In Colorado, Planned Parenthood serves nearly 60,000 patients every year, many on Medicaid, for health care such as cancer screenings, birth control, and annual physicals.
These requirements are not about saving money. They’re about paying for tax cuts for billionaires. For the millions of Americans who would lose their health care, I’m fighting back. 2/2
The GOP's bill stripping away Americans’ health care is filled with vague, burdensome requirements that will throw eligible people off Medicaid, just like in Arkansas and Georgia. 1/2
House Republicans’ math is not adding up. You can’t cut $715 billion from Medicaid without kicking eligible people off their benefits. No matter how often they claim that eligible recipients won’t be impacted, the numbers don’t lie. Americans will lose access to care because of their bill.
It’s 1am in DC, & we are just starting the health care portion of Trump’s ‘One Big, Bogus Bill.' This is so Republicans can use the cover of night to hide they are kicking 13.7 million Americans off their health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. It's unacceptable, & I won’t let it stand.
🚨 House Republicans are trying to gut Planned Parenthood in their 'Big, Bogus Bill.'🚨 Planned Parenthood supports over 2 million patients a year, including 60,000 in CO, with health care like birth control, cancer screenings, wellness exams, & more. This isn’t just cruel — it’s dangerous.
Chris is paralyzed & relies on Medicaid as a lifeline to live, work, and lead. Despite the GOP’s claims of targeting 'waste, fraud, and abuse,' their plan rips Medicaid away from people like Chris. I won’t stand for this disgraceful attempt to give billionaires huge tax cuts.
Trump & House Republicans’ “One Big, Bogus Bill” guts Medicaid, ripping away health care from 13.7 million Americans. Medicaid provides care to new moms, kids, working families, and people like my constituent, Denver City Councilman Chris Hinds.
Let me clear something up. Cuts to Medicaid through the ‘One Big, Bogus Bill’: 8.6 million to lose health care Republicans refusing to extend ACA enhanced tax credits: 5.1 million to lose health care 8.6 million + 5.1 million = 13.7 million.
