After a year of Trump’s tariff-taxes and his cuts to health care and food assistance, many Philadelphians’ costs are up.
Trump calls affordability a "hoax" and a “con job." Do you agree?
If you or your family have felt the impact of this GOP cost of living crisis, I want to hear from you! (1/2)

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating in #PA03 and beyond!
May the Year of the Horse bring you and your loved ones good health, happiness, and prosperity.
Ramadan Mubarak! I’m wishing everyone who will be observing in Philadelphia and around the world a peaceful and reflective holy month.
Reverend Jesse Jackson was a towering giant in the civil rights movement. A coalition builder and tireless advocate, he called on us to always “keep hope alive.”
May he rest in power and may his legacy continue to inspire generations to come in the fight for freedom and justice.
This concise report informs you about how my office returned another $9.6 million back to Philadelphians from federal agencies, my work in Congress fighting for #PA03, and my thoughts looking forward to the year ahead:
ICYMI: Last week, I released my annual State of the District report!
They'd rather shut down critical agencies like FEMA and TSA than work with us to rein in aggressive, lawless practices at ICE and CBP.
I invite everyone to read our list of 10 reform proposals for yourself! (2/2)
ICE and CBP are out of control. Period.
Democrats have a common-sense list of 10 reforms. But as funding for DHS expires tonight, Republicans adjourned both the House and Senate yesterday. (1/2)
Thanks to Trump’s reckless tariff-taxes: this Valentine’s Day, treating your sweetheart costs more💔
Nine of 10 House Republicans from PA voted to KEEP Trump’s tariff-taxes that drive up prices on products from Canada, even though House GOP leaders are conceding the tariff-taxes hurt local businesses and can be canceled for favored districts!
Trump likes to talk a big game, saying he wants to send out $5,000 DOGE checks and $2,000 tariff rebates.
In reality, he is suing the federal government he heads for $10 BILLION – and YOU would pay that bill!
I'm proud to be bringing over $7 MILLION back to #PA03 for eight projects throughout our community!
From improving school equipment to increasing access to nutrition education programs to advancing health-care education, these critical projects will directly benefit Philadelphians!
📣Calling #PA03 high school students!
This Black History Month, I'm hosting an oratorical, spoken word, and poetry slam showcase inspired by the timeless words of Langston Hughes!
Feb. 24 is the deadline to submit a video of your performance. Learn more at evans.house.gov/BHM2026
I'll be voting YES to repeal Trump's tariff-taxes on goods imported from our good neighbor Canada, and I look forward to voting for more repeals in the coming weeks!
As Ranking Member @neal.house.gov explains, YOU are paying higher prices because of Trump's tariff-taxes.
Once again, Republicans are trying to disenfranchise American voters.
Their extremist bill would make it harder for tens of millions of minority voters, married women, service members, and rural Americans to register to vote.
This is voter suppression. Period. I will be voting No.
Last night, House Democrats and just 3 House Republicans (though none from PA) cleared the way for your House of Representatives to vote on repealing Trump’s tariff-taxes that have already cost the average American family $1,000.
The first vote could happen later today!
