House Republicans want to cut Social Security's EARNED benefits and close offices across the country that serve seniors.
House Democrats have a better idea: #ScrapTheCap so that millionaires and billionaires, like Elon Musk, pay their fair share all year long!

The math simply doesn’t lie 👇🏾
NEW: Republicans cannot meet their own budget target without cutting Medicare or Medicaid, budget office says
The math is simple 👇
House Budget requires E&C to cut spending by $880 billion.
CBO says E&C oversees $581 billion outside Medicare/Medicaid.

I'm proud to be fighting alongside Rep. Larson and our House Democratic colleagues to stop the gutting of agencies like the Social Security Administration and the IRS that provide critical services to Philadelphians.
Today I met with members of the NTEU from #PA03 to discuss the impact of the Musk-Trump Administration’s actions on federal workers & services in Philly.
Trump promised not to "touch" Social Security- but his actions speak louder than words and are harming hard-working Americans.
I think I know why a lot of Republicans didn’t applaud last night when Trump attacked the Chips & Science Act. AWKWARD
A reminder: this NY GOP congressman lost by 8 points just days after the speaker said this in his district.
For over a hundred years, presidents sent the State of the Union message as a document. They didn’t give a speech to Congress.
Maybe it’s time to go back to that...
Completely or largely missing from Trump's speech last night:
• Details on lowering prices & costs for working-class Americans
• Tackling the affordable housing crisis
• Health care affordability & accessibility
• Ending our nation’s gun-violence epidemic
• Caring for our nation's veterans

Trump claims he wants to “protect America’s children.”
Then why is he trying to cut off health care for the 38 million children on Medicaid?
Tariffs are taxes. Period.
Let's be clear: President Trump's proposed across-the-board tariffs will just be taxes on hard-working Americans’ costs, from food to clothing.
Most Americans did NOT vote for higher prices.
Co-president Trump promised to lower prices on day 1. Today is day 44.
While the White House and Congressional Republicans are focused on kissing up to their billionaire donor buddies it's hard-working Americans who continue to suffer.
I took some time today to speak with Kathy, a mom from Northwest Philadelphia whose daughter relies on Medicaid.
She told me Republicans’ proposed cuts feel like "an unfathomably cruel abandonment."
Listen to our conversation below.
If President Trump wants me to come to his speech to Congress NEXT year, I have some conditions for him 👇🏾
As President Trump continues to act unlawfully and legally questionably, like his mass federal firings and refusing to deliver federal funding already appropriated by law, I feel he has not earned the honor of my presence to listen to his speech in person tonight.

KEILAR: Can you guarantee that veterans benefits and care will not be affected by these cuts?
REP. GREG MURPHY: No, I can't guarantee anything
Having served as PA House Appropriations majority and minority chair for 20 years, if a governor of EITHER party refused to spend appropriated funding, I'd insist on guarantees in the funding we pass into law.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
