Before serving in office, I started my career at the National Aquarium and my experience there helping to lead an anchor institution has continued to shape my work to this day.

With this legislation, we will continue thinking bigger, bolder, and faster on conservation so our communities can enjoy the Bay for generations to come.
That’s why I’m proud to work alongside @alsobrooks.senate.gov on the Maryland Whole Watershed Program Federal Partnership Act to ensure our state and local partners have the federal support necessary to continue these restoration efforts for our crucial Bay Watershed.
In just two years, we’ve already seen real progress from this act – from marsh restoration to combating invasive species in the Baltimore Harbor to addressing stream erosion in Hagerstown and more. But our state and local partners can’t do this work alone.
One of the most crucial pieces of legislation I worked on during my time in the State Senate was the Whole Watershed Act.
Happy Holi, #MD03! Today marks not only the start of spring but a time of joyous, colorful celebration, reminding us to always see the light even in our darkest times.
As always, if you’re a constituent of #MD03 and you need assistance, my office is here to help. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of my team at (410) 832-8890.
➡️ Follow the State Department social media pages or WhatsApp channel for urgent guidance

Whether it’s on the Natural Resources Committee or on the ground as we work to protect the Chesapeake Bay, I will continue working to defend critical clean energy investments and protect our neighbors from this Administration’s attacks on environmental justice.
The @lcv.org has been one of my closest partners from my time at the National Aquarium to the State House and now in Congress as a member of the Natural Resources Committee. That’s why I’m so proud to have received a score of 100% on their 2025 National Environmental Scorecard!
Americans don’t want endless wars. They want affordable groceries, utility bills, and rent.

The House chamber is not the set of a television series, and feeding into chaos, hate, and division serves no one. In times of uncertainty, the American people should be able to look to their leaders and trust that we will bring them together, not drive them apart.
Happy Purim! Today is an opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate the resiliency of the Jewish people with costumes, festivities, and grogger spinning. Wishing all those who celebrate in #MD03 a joyous day with lots of hamantaschen – Chag Purim Sameach!
As always, my office remains a resource for constituents of #MD03 in need of assistance. You can reach my team at (410) 832-8890.
I urge this Administration to use every tool possible to ensure American citizens abroad return home safely.
An update from the State Department for American citizens in the Middle East:
Americans who need assistance should call +1-202-501-4444 from abroad and +1-888-407-4747 from the U.S. and Canada.
I’ll be thinking of the words of one of my mentors, Senator Barbara Mikulski, the first Democratic woman elected to the Senate in her own right and a leader in the fight to end the gender pay gap, who said, “I was the first, but I made sure I wasn't the only.”
From the Seneca Falls Convention to the suffragists of the 1920s to today, we celebrate and reflect on the critical role women have played throughout American history.
Happy Women’s History Month! March is a time to recognize not only the immense accomplishments and impact women have had on our country, but also the work ahead to bridge the gaps in gender equity. We’ve made significant progress thanks to the fearless leaders before us.
We cannot risk more American lives in undefined foreign conflicts, which is why Congress must pass the War Powers Resolution and reassert our Constitutional authority. At the very least, our men and women in uniform and their families deserve transparency, accountability, and answers.
