Thank you to our fall interns in Washington in Houston for all your efforts to help serve our #TX07 neighbors. It was a memorable semester, and we are lucky to have had you on our team through it all!

Looks like the DOJ just dropped some of the Epstein files. Our entire team has begun a major review. We will keep the American people updated - but it’s clear that this is not a full release.
We will continue to provide updates. Here’s the drop: justice.gov/epstein
Back #AtHomeInHouston, it was a joy to deliver our community's Winter Wishes to seniors at Brookdale Senior Living in the Galleria. Thank you to all the kids, teachers, and families who helped us spread cheer this holiday season!
The news out of Washington has been nonstop this year. Every week that the House is in session, I send out a newsletter explaining what's going on, and what I'm doing about it.

Across the country, green card applications, naturalization interviews, and even oath ceremonies are being paused or cancelled on the basis of the applicants’ national origin.
@jayapal.house.gov and I led our colleagues in a letter demanding an end to this discriminatory and unjustified pause.
No servicewomen should feel unsafe when receiving care through our military health system. I joined @demwomencaucus.bsky.social in demanding justice and accountability for our servicemembers and their families betrayed by the sexual misconduct at Fort Hood and Tripler Army Medical Center.
We have the signatures, now we need to have the vote! There is no reason — no good reason — to wait.
Today, the @energycommerce.bsky.social Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee meets for a hearing on AI and biotechnology. Tune in at 9:15 a.m. CST. 🔜

Congratulations to Vidya Ganesh and Scarlett Yu, winners of the 2025 #TX07 Congressional App Challenge!
After researching machine learning and AI, they developed their app, TuneIn, which offers many of the benefits of a hearing aid through technology people already own.
Amid so much senseless killing–for reasons we know and reasons we do not–we look to others in our communities and country for comfort, peace, and purpose. Those who have died and all those who mourn deserve that from those we elect as our leaders.
This weekend was one of heartbreaking, staggering loss, and my thoughts will remain with all those mourning the tremendous losses at home and across the world.

This is the opposite of what being an American is and what makes America great. And we do not have to accept it.

Today, the world recognizes 10 years of the Paris Climate Agreement—which President Trump has withdrawn the US from twice.
In 2019, I wrote how important these accords are—and how Houston has the ability to lead in the fight against global warming. ⬇️

🌟VICE CHAIR SPOTLIGHT — @repfletcher.bsky.social🌟
Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher is a talented lawyer, an accomplished legislator, and passionate ally to the LGBTQI+ community in Congress!
We're honored to have her serve as one of our Vice Chairs. Let us introduce you to her work:
I will continue to work to empower the citizens who are standing up for that principle in this case and elsewhere, and I will continue to work in all the ways I can to ensure that we have fair maps and fair representation in Texas. (5/5)
The Texas map that the Supreme Court has now permitted to go into effect for the 2026 elections betrays the fundamental principle that all Texans should have a say in our government. (4/5)
The district court’s order to use the map Texas enacted in 2021–the congressional map currently in effect–while the case moves through the courts is the most practical and fair path forward at this time. (3/5)
The district court heard evidence on this map for nine days and found overwhelming, clear, and direct evidence of unconstitutional racial gerrymandering. (2/5)
