Frost: We just heard about 24 hours ago that the judges ruled that Alligator Alcatraz has to shut down… When you don't have all the power you want, you damn well use all the power you got
A huge shoutout to plaintiffs in the case: Friends of the Everglades, the Center for Biological Diversity and the Miccosukee Tribe.
Oversight work is important. Elected officials must use that power to enter these facilities & shine a light on the conditions. It can help strengthen lawsuits nationwide as it did here.
The fight isn't over, the state will probably appeal. But this is a major victory.
AMAZING NEWS! A judge has ruled that the Everglades Interment Camp must halt operations. They cannot receive new immigrants (thank GOD), and must tear down fencing and other aspects within 60 days. Essentially making it inoperable.

AFA Flight Attendants joined Rep. Maxwell Frost this week for a roundtable discussion about the Safe Air on Airplanes Act. We are proud to support the legislation, introduced this week, to take critical steps toward ensuring the air we breathe at work is safe for everyone.
Registering voters at the University of Central Florida during move-in week! Perfect time to chat with new students and ensure they have a good interaction with their new Congressman 🤠
This week!
The practice of elected officials waiting till election time to Organize has and will never be enough. Year-round, supporting the local progressive ecosystem is the way to go!
Our largest class of Democracy Summer fellows has graduated! I’m very proud of this incredible group of high school + college aged young people who spent the summer Organizing, making calls, knocking on doors, & supporting local, progressive candidates.
But we need other states to do it too! If they move forward with Texas and Florida, CA alone is not enough!
Every Democratic state that can do this, should do this.
Then, when we control the levels of power in DC, we ban gerrymandering for the entire country. Once and for all. Everyone playing by the same rules.
Central Florida! Apply for our Fall Organizing Fellowship. You’ll be an essential part of our year-round Organizing work + support our big annual event, MadSoul! Details below.

This is deeply shameful. Over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed while trying to get aid in the past 8 weeks. Israel must immediately cease these shootings & lift the blockade. Congress must pass the UNRWA Funding Emergency Restoration Act to help distribute aid in Gaza
