In Sushi Tetsu fashion, the way you order the takeaway is to reply to an email saying “takeaway tomorrow”. They have 18 pickup slots, which go in a matter of minutes. The only way I’ve found to get on the mailing list is to be forwarded the email by someone already on the list.
Weird to claim a £48 main is the best value takeaway in London but the sporadic Sushi Tetsu takeaway meals are a truly phenomenal quantity of incredible fish
speccing out an alarm system for my new house and hate the fact that this implicitly involves selecting which ~smart home ecosystem~ I will be forced to painfully extricate myself from in a decade's time
lots of great insights here but one thing that did catch my eye is that Polanski is the only party leader who people would rather see as a junior partner in a coalition with Starmer
my mental definition of inner/outer london is always along these lines really – if the primary way of getting somewhere is down, are the alternatives almost as good
I'm too inner london! the hackney downs/central interchange would be the way to do it without buses but it's specifically hateful for this particular interchange because it requires five lifts and a chunky walk to get from w/b mildmay to n/b weaver
of course anything bus reliant means I can't rely on a pushchair, because then I can't get on the bus if there's two other parents on it, so the 15 minute walk actually has to be "wait for a second bus"
