Americans did not ask for this war, and they deserve to have a voice in decisions about continuing it. That’s why Congressional authority matters.
We come to honor the sacrifices of the women and men who gave their lives, the scars of those who returned, and the memories of the nearly 1,600 still missing in action.
Our nation is grateful. You are not forgotten.
I had the honor of joining my fellow veteran Members of Congress for the annual washing of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
My father served in Vietnam – and thankfully his name is not one of the 58,318 etched into the stone.
Director Patel's constant and egregious abuse of his position is disqualifying and so very unpatriotic.
"Snorkeling around Arizona is as disrespectful as playing kickball on top of the graves at Arlington.”
The U.S.S. Arizona is the final resting place of more than 900 sailors and Marines who lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
He was a man of courage, proud to stand openly and unapologetically for equality long before it was politically safe to do so.
Rest in peace, Rep. Frank.
Barney Frank was a trailblazer in Congress.
By creating the CFPB, the Dodd-Frank Act has strengthened oversight of our financial institutions and helped return more than $20 billion to consumers.
Last week the President said, "I don't think about Americans' financial situation" while he was busy trading millions of dollars in stock in companies with interests before our government.
We must ban this type of corruption now.
No one should be able to leverage a career in public service to enrich themselves. Not Members of Congress or the Administration, not the President or members of the Cabinet.
Since 2021, I have helped secure more than $2.6 million for EMS and fire services in Chester and Berks counties. Prioritizing your safety by helping our local first responders is always the right thing to do for you.
Thank you to our heroes on the ground!
It is National EMS Week, and my team and I remain committed to supporting our local fire and EMS crews – from 911 dispatchers and paramedics to EMTs and firefighters.
The President is emptying the Treasury, and his administration is helping.
- Meals on Wheels and senior nutrition programs nationwide
- Clean-energy and climate resilience grants that were reduced or phased out under the law
- Rural hospital stabilization funding in states facing Medicaid-related revenue losses
- Pell Grants for several hundred thousand college students
- Head Start slots for tens of thousands of children
- Affordable housing vouchers for tens of thousands of families
- NIH medical research grants across cancer, Alzheimer’s, and rare disease research
$2 billion to people convicted of sedition, who killed policemen and wanted to hang a Vice President.
That $2 billion could pay for:
- Community health centers for millions of patients for about a year
- LIHEAP energy assistance for hundreds of thousands of low-income households
The Trump administration is working overtime to put your taxpayer dollars into the hands of insurrectionists and sycophants. The President has directed the DOJ to pay out nearly $2 billion to those convicted of trying to overturn the 2020 election.
Today I am thinking of the victims' families and with the entire San Diego community.
News of another shooting--this time at a mosque with a school inside--has left me feeling both sad and frustrated. Whether mosque, synagogue, church, school or playground, religious or political violence like what we saw in San Diego yesterday should have no place in America.
