NEW POD: I sat down with two incredible Epstein survivors, Annie Farmer and Danielle Bensky, to talk about the DOJ’s botched release of the files and how they continue to fight for accountability.
Watch here:
Nurses are saying ICE agents have repeatedly ignored health and safety protocols, putting hospital patients in danger.
Kristi Noem’s DHS is out of control and has no place operating in our communities.
The DOJ’s list of “Government Officials and Politically Exposed Persons” in the Epstein files is purposefully misleading and another attempt at intimidating those who seek the truth.
I will not back down. The perpetrators and everyone involved in this cover-up must be held accountable.
GOOD NEWS: The Supreme Court just ruled that Trump’s tariffs imposed under his “emergency authorities” are unlawful.
They affirmed what we’ve been saying this whole time: Only Congress has the power to impose taxes, which includes Trump's reckless tariffs.
Last night, I was notified that another person has died in ICE custody.
That’s 39 people who have died on ICE’s watch during Trump’s second term.
We cannot grow numb to this. There must be immediate oversight and accountability.
Today, despite giving eight days’ notice of my visit to the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington, I was denied the ability to meet with detained people.
No matter what obstacles this administration throws at us, I will continue to come back and conduct oversight.
Last night I hosted my 129th town hall since coming to Congress! 500 of our neighbors showed up to make their voices heard.
Hearing from each of you is the most important part of my job — so if you weren’t able to join, I hope to see you at the next one!
UPDATE: I’ve been at the Northwest Detention Facility for over 3 hours and am still being denied my congressional duty to conduct oversight.
What are they so afraid of that they won't let me meet with detainees?
I will not give up.
Today I’m at the Northwest Detention Center to do my duty as a Member of Congress & conduct oversight. I even gave them 8 days notice that I was coming — something I shouldn’t have to do.
Despite having privacy release forms, they are refusing to let me talk to detained people. I’m not letting up.
It was great to meet Seattle Public Schools’ new Superintendent Ben Schuldiner to welcome him to Seattle, discuss his priorities for the district, and strategize on how we can protect students and families from ICE presence by school campuses.
Looking forward to working with him!
I had a wonderful visit with Seattle Central College’s Student Council to talk about how I can support them and their work to expand access to higher education throughout our community.
Go Tigers!
It is heartbreaking to see what is happening inside immigrant detention facilities like the one in Dilley, Texas, where hundreds of children have been detained by Trump.
Our taxpayer dollars should not be going towards this cruelty.
I received notification of yet another death at an ICE facility, meaning 38 people have died in custody since Trump returned to office.
ICE is failing to ensure the health and safety of the people it is responsible for.
We need immediate oversight of this entire operation.
This is exactly the kind of accountability we need from the Department of Justice. It's time to bring the perpetrators to justice.
TONIGHT: I am hosting my 129th town hall in Lake Forest Park. Tune in live!

Jesse Jackson was an essential leader in the movement and coalition-building for social and economic justice.
He laid the path for many of the elected officials who followed.
For millions of Muslims around the world, the holy month of Ramadan is the most sacred and joyous time of the year — a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, compassion, and gratitude.
Ramadan Mubarak! Wishing joy, peace, and justice to all who celebrate.
Rodney Taylor has been held in a for-profit ICE detention facility for over a year.
His health continues to deteriorate as ICE has denied him medical care and reasonable accommodations.
I’m leading 20 of my colleagues to demand ICE review Rodney's request for release.
Republicans are willing to shut down the government because they don’t want any accountability for ICE and CBP.
Without reforms, we cannot give another cent to these rogue agencies that have murdered people in our streets.
Trump’s ICE just deported a 2-month-old baby.
He promised to go after the “worst of the worst.” He lied.
He’s deporting literal BABIES.
