Kash Patel earlier this year: “There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents” and “we’re going to give you every single thing we have.” Now: “No further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.” What changed? I think he discovered that Trump’s name is in the Epstein Files.
I repeatedly asked FBI Director Patel a simple question: does he believe the Epstein victims are credible — yes or no? Over and over again, he refused to answer. Unsurprising, but disgusting, coming from a Trump administration that has called this entire thing a “Democratic hoax.”
ICYMI: Trump is literally trying to erase slavery from U.S. history. This is censorship to the extreme by an authoritarian leader. America cannot ignore our past as we strive for a brighter and more just future. www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
Our system is rigged — billionaires and mega corporations are getting richer while poor and working people struggle to get by. The consolidation of corporations, power, and money has to end. We must take on the wealthy ruling class and truly stand up for American families.
Thank you to Justice Yu for her 11 years of outstanding service as the first Asian, Latina, and LGBTQIA+ justice on the WA Supreme Court. Let us carry on her legacy by reaffirming our commitment to protecting dignity and justice for all Washingtonians. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
Great to join the @econliberties.bsky.social at the 2025 Anti-Monopoly Summit this morning! Corporate power and consolidation is out of control. Massive corporations and billionaires are only getting richer while working families continue to get screwed over. It’s time to put working people first.
Just over one year ago, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, a US citizen from my home state of Washington, was killed by the IDF. We still have no independent investigation and no justice. Today, I stood with Ayşenur’s family, my colleagues, and advocates to demand answers and accountability.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to recognize the rich culture, resilient history, and incredible contributions Hispanic people have made to this country — today and every day. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
A couple of weeks ago, Big Tech billionaires and wealthy CEOs flocked to the White House to praise Trump. In return for their loyalty, donations to Trump’s campaigns, and purchases of his crypto scam, he's giving them massive handouts. Trump is a president for the billionaires, not us.
America’s checks and balances aren’t working — Republicans in Congress are completely beholden to Donald Trump and the Supreme Court has been bought out by right-wing billionaires. It is on us, the people, to use our power and protect our rights.
Trump’s attacks on students are bad for America. International students contribute to the groundbreaking research and innovation happening at WA colleges and universities. So much of that work will be stalled due to Trump’s immigration actions. www.seattletimes.com/education-la...
I saw the bravery of the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse when I met with them last week. They are fighting for transparency and justice — for themselves and for all others who have been impacted. They deserve better than the current stonewalling by Trump and Republicans.
Trump’s EPA is rolling back a 15 year old program that requires corporations to report their greenhouse gas emissions. This “cost saving” measure will just allow massive corporations to poison our air with no consequences. It’s absolutely unacceptable. www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
Every single protest, walkout, and act of non-cooperation is a tool to build our movement in the fight against fascism — from the government and corporate giants. Together, we can fight for a better country — one where working people can earn a decent wage and billionaires don’t control everything.
