The Supreme Court just inserted politicians between women and their healthcare decisions—again.
Medicaid patients should have the right to choose their provider, including Planned Parenthood. And they should be able to fight in court for that right.
Patients need more healthcare options, not less.
TUNE IN: Three years after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, reproductive rights are still under attack.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social, @reprocaucus.bsky.social, and @demwomencaucus.bsky.social are hearing from patients and healthcare providers impacted by the consequences:
Three years after #RoevWade was overturned, we will continue to hold Republicans accountable for the harms caused by their agenda.
📺 Tune in as our Caucus joins @demwomencaucus.bsky.social & @housedemocrats.bsky.social to hear testimony from experts & storytellers 👇

Today marks 10 years since the Supreme Court's historic ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, legalizing same-sex marriage across the US.
Love won that day and love must continue to prevail this #EqualityDay and beyond.
I stand with @replamonica.bsky.social.
The facts support her, and so do I.
3 years ago today, President Biden signed the first federal gun safety law in 30 years: the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
As President Trump reverses progress, I’m determined to keep moving forward. We cannot afford to wait another 30 years to pass a gun safety law.

RFK Jr. doesn’t know what his own department recommends on COVID-19 vaccines.
That’s deeply troubling.
I set the record straight: COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective, and the best medicine to prevent outbreaks.
FACT CHECK: Health Secretary RFK Jr. said the COVID-19 vaccine causes miscarriages.
This is NOT TRUE.
Pregnant women should get vaccinated to protect themselves and their babies.
Last month, RFK Jr. said to not take medical advice from him. We’ll take that to heart.
Three years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, stripping reproductive rights. Since then, women’s bodily autonomy has been under constant attack.
I trust YOU to make decisions about your own body — not politicians.
Birth control is healthcare. Period.
Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe 3 years ago, reproductive rights have been under attack. Pharmacies have refused to fill birth control prescriptions and denied purchases.
I introduced the Access to Birth Control Act to protect people’s healthcare.
I’m heartbroken to hear that a 19-year-old woman was shot & killed at a park in Danville this weekend. Two teens were also injured.
I’m thinking of their families, friends, and the Danville community during this difficult time.
They should’ve been safe at a park. Enough is enough.
President Trump's decision to bomb Iran will not lead to peace but rather cause more violence, destruction, and conflict in the Middle East.
My full statement:
4.6 million kids live in homes with an unsecured gun.
Commissioner Billy Lowry and I have a reminder to all gun owners: safe storage saves lives.
This #ASKDay, always ask this potentially lifesaving question: “Is there an unsecured gun where my kid plays?” @Bradyunited.org
I met with the newly elected mayors in the Second District and their staff so we can get to know one another.
Every level of government, from local to federal, must work together so we can accomplish more for our constituents.
Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill is deadly. It will rip away people’s healthcare, overwhelm emergency rooms, and close hospitals.
I was at Blue Island Health Center with healthcare providers and elected officials to speak out in one voice: cuts to Medicaid will cost people their lives.
Our healthcare is on the chopping block, costs of living are too high, gun violence and police brutality threaten our safety, and immigrants live in fear.
This Juneteenth, I bear in mind that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We have work to do to achieve freedom for everyone.
Gun violence steals lives, a community’s sense of safety, and all the milestones a loved one should’ve been a part of.
It doesn’t matter how many years go by. Ten years later, survivors of the hate-fueled shooting at Emanuel AME Church remember the lives lost.

I will never forget the nine people who were shot and killed by a white supremacist at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston 10 years ago today. They were simply going to bible study — and they should have been safe.
Donald Trump is a walking ethics violation.
As I told TheGrio, the President abuses his powers for his own gain instead of improving the lives of the American people. He is ignoring the millions of Americans who want a public servant in the White House — not a king.

I will never accept political violence as normal.
I’m horrified to hear that MN State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed in their home. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife were also shot and injured in their home.
My heart is with all their loved ones as they grieve. Political violence is never the answer & will never be accepted.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
