I stand with @repilhan.bsky.social against this vile attack—constituents should be able to hear from their elected officials without either fearing for their safety. Trump & Republicans: stop your racist attacks on Rep. Omar & tone down the rhetoric. We all must work to end political violence.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Man tackled to ground after spraying unknown substance on Rep. Ilhan Omar at town hall in Minneapolis.
Bovino is responsible for much of the cruelty and suffering DHS has inflicted upon our communities, including here in LA. We want him out of our cities—not moved back to California with no accountability. Don't let him be the fall guy. We must end DHS' reign of terror.
My district office kicked off the new year on the ground in CA-37!🌟 We connected constituents to federal services at the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and joined the annual homeless count in Mid-City. We’re excited to show up and engage with our community all year long!
Over five years later, Donald Trump STILL won't tell the truth about the 2020 election. He knows full-well that he lost. And Special Counsel Jack Smith built a case that would've proved "beyond a reasonable doubt" that Trump knew—but he still lied to defraud the United States.
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the six million Jewish people & several millions more who were murdered by the Nazi regime. 81 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, we recommit to combating antisemitism & hate wherever it rears its ugly head. Never again is now.
The Trump Administration cruelly attempted to freeze funding for child care, social services, and more to five Democratic-led states. That sh*t was not legal, and we fought back in court and won. @replsimon.bsky.social joined me to break down Trump's heartlessness.
An employee from your agency was murdered by another federal agency, and your reaction is not to demand accountability but to blame Democrats? There is no one at fault for this but ICE and this Administration that enables them to operate with violence, cruelty, and impunity. (2/2)
Yes, Kristi Noem should be impeached. What we're seeing in the news scares me to death. DHS got $191 billion in the Big Ugly Bill, and she has not come before @democrats-judiciary.house.gov to explain to the American people and Congress how she's using that money.
ICE just murdered another U.S. citizen in Minnesota. Masked, trigger-happy agents are acting with impunity, and the Trump Admin yet again rushed to defend ICE before getting the facts. We need accountability. ICE out of our cities. No more money for DHS. Stop the killings.
ICE is now terrorizing FIVE-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN. Trump said ICE's mandate was to go after criminals. So why was Liam Ramos detained, arrested, and sent to Texas after coming home from preschool?? JD Vance should think about how it could be his kids being snatched up by ICE.
ICE detained five-year-old Liam Ramos on his way home from school, then used him as “bait” to detain his family members—who, per their attorney, are going through the legal asylum process. He and his father were sent to Texas. This isn’t about criminals. It’s about cruelty.
Republicans gave DHS $170 BILLION in their Big Ugly Bill—including $75 billion for ICE. Since then, all they've done with that money is inflict terror on communities, violate the law, and kill a U.S. citizen. I was a HELL NO then, and I'm a HELL NO now. Not another dime for DHS.
Trump is deporting survivors back to their abusers. That's why @jayapal.house.gov, @repgwenmoore.bsky.social, @demwomencaucus.bsky.social, and I are demanding that DHS immediately reinstate protections for immigrant survivors and release those currently held in detention.
