I will always stand with California farmers.
They put food on our tables and drive our economy.
But the hardship they are facing today has been made far worse by reckless tariff decisions in Washington.
The founders envisioned a government that answers to the people, not the whims of any one president.
It undermines the separation of powers at the heart of our Constitution.
This could put more than 20 agencies at risk and weaken Congress’s ability to ensure fair, consistent enforcement of the laws we pass.
It’s yet another dangerous shift of power away from the people’s branch and toward unilateral executive control.
That structure protects the public, and both parties have relied on it for generations.
Now the SCOTUS majority seems ready to sweep aside that long-standing precedent and give any president direct control over agencies that were designed to be independent.

Now, with only weeks left before families feel the full impact, they are refusing to extend the ACA tax credits that have kept premiums within reach. If Congress does nothing, millions of Americans will see steep increases for the very same coverage they had just months ago.
House Republicans have spent years trying to weaken the Affordable Care Act and still have not offered a serious plan to make care better or more affordable.
