Mosaic Village will do exactly that—bringing housing, recovery services, job training, and a new Recovery Cafe together in one place.
This is how we break cycles and build something better. This is what real partnership looks like. [2/2]

I am proud to have secured $2 million dollars in federal funding for the Mosaic Village in West Sacramento.
For people facing homelessness, addiction, or trauma, support cannot come in pieces. It has to come together holistically. [1/2]
The court saw this for what it was: Trump tried to punish NPR and PBS for coverage he didn’t like. That is unlawful retaliation and it violates the First Amendment.
I’ll always stand up for public media, local journalism, and the freedom of the press.
I had a great time at Elk Grove’s State of the City! Year after year, Elk Grove proves why it's a model community—from community-focused projects and public safety to economic development, its leadership knows what it takes. I'm so proud to represent such a vibrant, inclusive, and growing community.
March 31 is Transgender Day of Visibility, a day of celebration, advocacy, and education to honor the lives and stories of trans people. Now more than ever, we must uplift trans and nonbinary people to make our collective power stronger than ever.
We also recognize the women of the farmworker movement—leaders, organizers, and workers whose strength and advocacy have driven progress and uplifted entire communities. [2/2]
Today, we honor the hardworking farmworkers who help feed our country and sustain our families. We celebrate the achievements made in advancing fair wages, safer working conditions, and greater protections. [1/2]
Trump's executive order targeting birthright citizenship is clearly unconstitutional. They are making a nonscience argument based on nativism and fear.
The rule of law is stronger than their hateful rhetoric.

Trump owns this disaster and Congress must reassert war powers before his carelessness further destabilizes the region and gets more of our troops killed. [2/2]
Putting boots on the ground in Iran cannot happen. Time and time again this administration has forced the American people to sacrifice due to Trump’s incompetence. Now he's planning to force 10,000 of our service members into harm’s way to fix a mess he alone created. [1/2]
My message is simple: NO kings, NO fear, NO more of Trump’s authoritarian agenda.
I voted HELL NO on ICE and CBP funding, period.
I will not vote to fund agencies that have torn families apart, detained children, and killed innocent Americans.
Again, I voted HELL NO to funding ICE and CBP's cruelty. I will never stop holding House Republicans and Trump’s rogue administration accountable. [2/2]
Tonight, Speaker Johnson made it very clear: House Republicans are more committed to ICE's authoritarian campaign than they are to ensuring that hardworking Americans don’t miss another paycheck. [1/2]
House Republicans are once again trying to jam through ICE and CBP funding. I could not be more clear—I have been and still am a HELL NO on any ICE and CBP funding. Period.
I’m proud to stand with the DWC this Equal Pay Day, and I will keep fighting until women are paid what we rightfully deserve. [2/2]
Women take 15 months to earn what men make in just 12. We shouldn’t have to work longer, harder, or prove more just to receive fair pay. The wage gap in our country is unacceptable—and it continues to grow. [1/2]
This merger must go before the full commission. Chairman Carr needs to stop playing games, stop slow rolling the process, and name a date for a vote. Acting like he alone gets to decide is not leadership. It is a sign of corruption and unfitness for office.
Trump says voting by mail was okay for him because he’s the president. That is the problem. He thinks being president puts him above YOU. It doesn’t.
Congress made it clear—no single company can reach more than 39 percent of U.S. households, but Chairman Carr ignored that rule to clear a mega-merger that would reach 80% of American households.
Why? Because these companies are willing to bend to pressure and silence speech Trump disagrees with.
Donald Trump’s repeated claims that peace is within reach have no credibility. His lack of transparency reflects a failure of leadership and no clear strategy. Meanwhile, the American people are left to deal with the consequences.
