As CHIPS Act co-author, I know how critical this policy is to strengthen our national security & tech leadership. But Trump's tariffs are driving up costs for what we need to be competitive in AI, including semiconductors. Another example of this Admin's chaos & uncertainty. youtu.be/hwReEEzXLm0
Policies like building high-speed internet in rural areas should be bipartisan—yet Elon Musk convinced Republicans that THEIR thoughtfully crafted policies in the last year's budget package were “too big.” The Republican agenda is hurting our families, businesses, and economy. youtu.be/Ng-W2FUE-gk
📢 CONSTITUENT SERVICES HOURS: Thursday, April 10 📢 On April 10, my staff will be holding office hours to help you navigate federal agencies. From 9am-12pm, stop by the Stockton Boulevard Partnership to learn about the resources and support you have during these uncertain times.
Many AANHPI women experience large wage gaps that aren’t visible when you only look at the averages. In order to truly fight for #AANHPIEqualPay, we need to #DisaggregateData for the over 25 unique ethnic groups that make up the AANHPI community.
Trump’s reckless policies are destroying the economy while simultaneously dismantling vital programs that keep American families afloat. Careless tariffs combined with heartless cuts to Medicaid and Social Security will leave millions with nowhere to turn. This is a direct attack on all of us.
Musk & Trump are lying about Social Security so they can cut off checks & rip benefits from Americans. But #SocialSecurity programs impact all of us. That’s why I’m fighting back—for people like Shahera from Sacramento & Lan from Elk Grove—who rely on Social Security to survive. youtu.be/7XWq6XGrdCE
📣 Join us for Constituent Office Hours TOMORROW 📣 If you need help navigating a federal agency, my staff will be at La Familia Counseling Center's Maple Neighborhood Center on April 3 to help you obtain reliable information and make inquiries on your behalf.
President Trump and Elon Musk are working to break #SocialSecurity and rip it away. #SocialSecurity is the economic backbone for millions of Americans. If Trump wants your Social Security check — my @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues and I will stand in his way and fight back at every step.
Major League Baseball is finally in West Sacramento tonight! ⚾ Our stadium is looking great — and we are ready to showcase our dynamic, growing, and vibrant community on the big stage. I cannot wait for MLB and the rest of the country to see the best fans in the world.
Trans rights are human rights. 🏳️‍⚧️ The Trump Admin’s attacks on transgender individuals are nothing short of disrespectful. I'm proud to stand with my fellow @equality.house.gov members & the trans community in the fight for equality, respect, & the freedom to live openly. #TransDayOfVisibility
The 6G race is about national security, economic security, & our standing in the world. That's why I reintroduced the FUTURE Networks Act, which unites communications, academia, public interest orgs, & gov't to accelerate U.S. leadership in next-gen communications. matsui.house.gov/media/press-...
It was great to meet with @ucdavishealth.bsky.social's Leadership team to discuss their 2025 priorities. As we face uncertain times regarding our healthcare, it is important to be a united front to fight back against the possible impacts of the Trump Administration’s proposed program cuts.
It was great to hear my dear friend, former Rep. Anna Eshoo, reflect on her lifetime of public service at the @ucberkeleyofficial.bsky.social's Matsui Center. From increasing access to cancer treatments to expanding children’s health care, Anna's accomplishments will endure for generations to come.
It was a pleasure to join the Cosumnes Community Services District’s Interim General Manager, Fire Chief, and Senior Staff to discuss the active projects at the Service District and their general priorities for 2025. I applaud their continued commitment to keeping our community safe and thriving.
