The work Joy Bergfalk and Coffee Connection do to uplift and empower women in Rochester is truly inspirational. Joy's passion, leadership, and commitment to our community have left a lasting mark. I was honored to celebrate her retirement and honor her incredible work.
I've introduced a constitutional amendment that makes it clear, no one, especially the president is above the law. Presidents are not monarchs, they are not tyrants, and they shall not be above the law.
Great to be at Iroquois Middle School today, meeting students participating in the Stand-Up Project. These students are learning how to use their voices to fight for change in our community. It was inspiring to hear about the causes these students are advocating for.
Republicans just gave us a clear window into their thinking: Cut Medicaid? “Well, we’re all going to die.” They’re fine gutting your care—as long as billionaires get their tax breaks.
Early education and child care are critical to the development of our youth and the support of parents returning to the workforce. I met with the Rochester Childfirst Network yesterday to hear about their critical work and discuss how we can ensure they have every resource they need.
Trump’s tariff policy is chaos—delivered with a sledgehammer. I applaud the court’s decision to rein him in and restore Congressional authority. I proudly signed the amicus brief and will keep fighting for smart, fair trade policy.
I stopped by USAirports at the Rochester Airport today for a discussion on how we can best support their vital work and continued investment in our region. USAirports is a family-owned fixed base operator providing 24/7 support to our community.
Officials are warning of a new scam in which bad actors pose as an "FTC agent." My office has already helped one member of our community who was targeted. Please be aware, the FTC does not have "agents," and remain vigilant for other red flags.

I recently had the chance to tour the Capitol dome—a breathtaking symbol of our democracy. Its history and architecture remind us of what we're fighting to protect: the pillars of our democracy and future of our republic.
Humbled to be in Bloomfield with Mayor Falsone, Supervisor Wille, and Supervisor Campbell for yesterday's Memorial Day celebration. Together, we paid tribute to those who gave their lives in defense of our freedom. May we never forget their sacrifice. We are here because of them.
Family caregivers give their time, energy, and resources to care for loved ones with disabilities or who are aging. Now, Trump’s disastrous budget threatens to rip away critical support from those who need it most.
A fierce champion for justice and a Korean War veteran, Congressman Charles Rangel’s legacy of service helped shape a better New York and a stronger nation. He touched countless lives, and I join our community in mourning this profound loss. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave what President Lincoln so powerfully called “the last full measure of devotion.” Their sacrifice is the price of our freedom—and a solemn reminder that liberty endures only through courage, service, and love of country.
House Republicans pushed through a bill that kicks nearly 14 million people off their health care and takes food away from millions of Americans to give huge tax breaks to billionaires. All this while adding more than $5 trillion to the national debt.
Glad to be with Mayor John Alfieri, American Legion Post #1917 Commander Tom Wojick, and the people of East Rochester for today's Memorial Day parade. This weekend, may we spend time reflecting and giving thanks for those who paid the ultimate price to defend our great nation.
