I joined @andyostroy.bsky.social on the Back Room to talk about Kristi Noem’s failures, Donald Trump’s attempts to control the media, and why the Administration is delaying the release of the Epstein files.

Since Trump started his tariffs the US has LOST 72,000 manufacturing jobs.
2025 was a challenging year for our country, but I was honored to do my part to protect working people, stand up for our democracy, and deliver federal resources for Rhode Island.

The House just passed funding for five community projects I fought to include. These projects will make Rhode Island safer, healthier, and stronger.
They support local law enforcement with needed equipment, prevent flooding, and upgrade outdated infrastructure.
In 2025, our office helped more than 650 Rhode Islanders with last-minute passport requests, overdue tax returns, Social Security benefits, and more.

Tomorrow we will finally vote on extending affordable care act funding.
So I say to my Republican colleagues: instead of buying Greenland and building ballrooms, let’s give much needed relief to the American people.
A life was tragically lost today in Minneapolis when an ICE agent shot a United States citizen.
There needs to be a full and complete investigation, and ICE agents must be held to the same level of accountability as members of any other law enforcement agency.
Do not let anyone rewrite the history of January 6th.
This afternoon, I visited Presidential Place in Cranston—an affordable apartment complex for Rhode Islanders age 62 and older. It was great to hear directly from residents about their experiences and why accessible, affordable housing is so important for seniors across Rhode Island.
On January 6, Congress will vote on extending Affordable Care Act funding that keeps health care costs down for working people.
This is a real chance to protect affordable coverage.
Republicans must join Democrats and vote YES to protect the Affordable Care Act.

Happy New Year, Rhode Island! 🎉
Wishing you a healthy, happy 2026 ahead.
As the semester comes to a close, we are grateful for our outstanding fall interns.
Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to public service truly strengthened our office.
Such a great story. When tragedy struck, Rhode Islanders did what we do best: look out for each other and make food.

High energy utility costs this winter are squeezing RIers’ budgets. That is why I signed onto the ePermit Act - to modernize how we approve projects to get more energy projects built, boost supply, and lower costs.
The House passed it. Now it is time for the Senate to act.
After months of IRS delays, our office helped Sean & Joan from Kingston resolve an issue caused by a simple paperwork mistake that was holding up their tax refund.
Having a similar issue? Don’t hesitate to give us a call at 401-244-1201!
Taking time off for a new child or a family tragedy should be a basic right. Yet millions of workers aren’t covered by FMLA.
I support the Job Protection Act to:
✅ Expand FMLA to all business sizes
✅ Cover part-time & multi-job workers
✅ Shorten work-time requirements
For years, Affordable Care Act tax credits have helped families afford health insurance.
Republicans in Congress could have acted before Jan. 1 but refused, leaving millions with higher premiums.
But we have another chance on Jan. 6, so tell your rep: VOTE YES!
Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating across Rhode Island and beyond. I hope today is filled with warmth, love, and time spent with family and friends. Wishing you peace, joy, and a happy holiday season. 🎄✨
