Congrats to my dear friend and fellow @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social member @robertgarcia.bsky.social on his election as Ranking Member of @oversightdemocrats.house.gov!
I know Robert will do an incredible job holding the Trump Admin accountable while fighting for a better future for all Americans 💪
SCOTUS just gave the Trump Administration the green light to deport immigrants to countries where they have no ties.
This inhumane ruling puts lives at risk and runs counter to due process rights—and our values as Americans. We need a just immigration system, not one driven by fear and cruelty.
My statement on the U.S. military operation in Iran:
The Trump Admin’s rollback of emergency abortion policies puts pregnant women’s lives at risk by stripping ERs of clear rules to provide life-saving care.
Make no mistake: this will endanger lives. That’s why @housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight this reckless overturn.
I’ve joined Substack!
My first piece is about 4-year-old Sofia—a reminder of the real human lives impacted by decisions made under the Trump Admin.
"Sofia's Story" is live. Give it a read and subscribe:
Every day we must reflect on the strength and resilience of those who paved the way and reaffirm our shared commitment to justice and equality.
📍Liberty State Park All About Us #Juneteenth Celebration
📢 Today we came together as a community to celebrate #Juneteenth - a day that honors the end of slavery in the United States and the enduring fight for freedom.
Congrats to HoLa 8th graders on your graduation! 🎓🎉
Excited to see all you accomplish in high school & beyond!
📍Hoboken, NJ
🎉 Celebrating 50 years of Hoboken Beer & Soda 🍻
📢 Always proud to support and uplift dedicated local businesses in our communities. Thanks for having me!
How does this decision make any sense? We know that LGBTQ+ youth face higher suicide risks and unique challenges, yet the Trump Admin is ending specialized LGBTQ+ support on the national suicide hotline.
This is not just senseless, but it unnecessarily puts lives in danger.

We cannot allow this to stand. Senate and House Dems will fight to protect Medicaid and defend the care millions rely on.
Medicaid is under attack for millions of Americans.
House Republicans' plan was devastating - and now the Senate's goes even further.
Millions of children, seniors, and people with disabilities could lose their care.
Our democracy depends on oversight and due process. We must continue fighting to protect it.
Comptroller Lander was simply standing up for due process by requesting a judicial warrant.
Since Delaney Hall, the Trump Admin has continued to escalate their intimidation of elected officials, while engaging in a full-on spin campaign.
Brad Lander, the New York City comptroller who is running for mayor, was arrested by ICE agents after he tried to steer a migrant out of the building to avoid his arrest. Lander was released several hours later on Tuesday afternoon. https://trib.al/lyVFPlP
📍Jersey City with the Waterfront Project
🏠 Had a productive conversation with the team at the Waterfront Project —a nonprofit legal clinic that is in the fight for housing justice. Grateful for their advocacy and to be able to join them in this important work.
📍Hudson County Juneteenth flag celebration
📢 As we begin to celebrate #Juneteenth, we recommit ourselves to ensuring our nation lives up to its promise of equality for all every single day.
AEDs can dramatically improve outcomes during a cardiac emergency.
Honored to stand with the Katz family to celebrate the opening of a new SaveStation in Jersey City.
I urged HHS Secretary Kennedy to advance my legislation that will do just that.
