I also joined letters with my colleagues to demand answers from the Administration. We know that Trump wants to flood the zone with actions to confuse and distract us but he has a constitutional responsibility to inform us of how these actions impact the American people.

Dozens more of us attempted to do the same at the Treasury Department and when we were turned away, we rallied outside with thousands of concerned citizens. We’ll keep this up for as long as we have to.
Along with Reps. McIver and Watson Coleman, I conducted oversight of ICE at the Elizabeth Detention Center. In addition to visiting EDC, we are requesting information constantly to know what ICE is doing in our communities and coordinating with local electeds and groups. More to come on this soon.
My Democratic colleagues and I are working tirelessly to maintain the checks and balances with the Executive Branch and conducting oversight of federal agencies. That’s exactly what we’ve done over the past week.
Our office has heard from so many of you who are concerned about the actions taken by Trump, DOGE, and Elon Musk over the past few weeks. We get it and this is not normal. Here’s how we are fighting back 👇
Team Menendez distributed more than 1,000 flyers throughout the Eighth District this week to ensure that everyone in our community knows their rights when interacting with ICE. To request copies in your neighborhood, call our district office at (201) 309-0301.
Yesterday, I met w/ Gov. Murphy & my NJ colleagues to tackle the issues that matter—affordability, better transit & lowering health care costs.
At a time when the Trump Admin. is implementing a harmful & divisive agenda, it's vital that we working together to deliver real solutions for NJ families.
If you're interested in learning more about a military academy nomination, contact our District Office at (201) 309-0301
One of the best parts of being a Member of Congress is nominating constituents to military academies. Today, I was honored to call a high school senior from Weehawken and let him know that he's been accepted to West Point!
During today’s E&C hearing, I made it clear that energy dominance cannot come at the expense of communities that have faced environmental injustice for far too long.
We must continue to support places like Elizabeth & the Ironbound with funding for environmental justice initiatives.

Shutting down USAID jeopardizes our national security and undermines our global influence.
That’s why I’ve joined my colleagues in demanding Secretary Rubio reverse these reckless moves and protect USAID’s mission to strengthen America’s influence worldwide.
With ICE raids happening nationwide, it’s crucial to know your rights. No matter your status, you have legal protections.

Nobody elected Elon Musk yet Trump has handed him the keys to the federal govt. That’s unacceptable.
That’s why I joined my colleagues today at the Treasury Dept. to exercise our oversight authority.
Democrats are in this fight because you’ve sent us here to fight & that’s exactly what we’ll do.
As we continue celebrating Black History Month, it was an honor to join Elizabeth for their African American Flag Raising ceremony. I was proud to recognize the Nesbitt-Good family, whose 4 generations of service have uplifted the fight for equity, opportunity & justice in the Elizabeth community.
Removing information about equity and inclusion is more important to this administration than our constituents having access to information and resources about what the federal government can do for them.
Breaking it to “fix it” is not a winning strategy or one we will accept.
As we celebrate Black History Month, we recognize that Black history is American history, and we honor those in @stateofnewjersey and across the country who have made this a reality. Their contributions are a reminder of why we must continue the fight for a more just and equal nation.
Congratulations to my friend, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, on her selection as Speaker Pro Tempore of the General Assembly! Annette is a passionate advocate for the people of the City of Elizabeth and Union County, and it’s truly a privilege to work with her in support of our community.
Great time getting to call bingo w/ Jersey City seniors. And during our visit, we had the chance to update them on the Trump funding freeze & answer their questions abt potential impacts to the programs and services they most rely on.
Grateful for the chance to listen, learn & for the hospitality!
Great to see Hudson County Community College increase their enrollment by 10.5%! Their focus on quality education, affordability, and career-focused programs (incl. cybersecurity) is clearly working. Our office will continue to uplift their work and support their mission!
Proud to join Mayor Grilo in presenting $500K for the East Newark Recreation Center! This funding will support much-needed improvements and enhance the overall experience for our community.
Excited for the positive changes ahead!
