Since the start of this Administration, I have been a vocal critic of its policies targeting immigrants.
I will continue to fight for our immigrant communities as they face attacks from this Administration and those rubberstamping its campaign to take away the people that make our nation so great.
I represent a district filled with immigrant communities and know the value they add to our economies, cultures and traditions.
With these decisions, the Trump-packed Supreme Court enables the Administration to continue its agenda that tears families apart and undermines our founding principles.
For over 400 years, people have come to America seeking sanctuary from religious persecution, violence and instability in their home countries.
Today, SCOTUS handed the Trump Administration the ability to turn its back on those seeking to do the same. 🧵
#WorldVitiligoDay raises awareness for Americans living with the autoimmune disease that causes loss of pigment cells and discoloration of the skin.
Today, I called on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to ensure that all vitiligo patients can get the treatment they need.
Watch my full remarks with @energycommerce.bsky.social here:
As the American people struggle to pay their energy bills, they should not have to bear the burden of meeting the energy needs of data centers and AI.
Yesterday, the Energy Subcommittee advanced several bills to help ensure they don’t.

As a result of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade four years ago today, over 1 in 3 women live in states with abortion bans or extreme restrictions.
I joined @zerlinamaxwell.bsky.social on @zerlinamornings.bsky.social to discuss the state of reproductive freedom today.
As a coequal branch of government, Congress plays an important role to ensure the executive branch does not trample our rights.
The Trump Administration seeks to intimidate members of Congress. I stand with @replamonica.bsky.social because oversight is our job, not a crime.
As a state senator, I passed the Reproductive Health Protection Act to make Virginia a safe haven for access in the South.
As Chair of the @reprocaucus.bsky.social Abortion Rights and Access Task Force, I fight to ensure that the decision of when, whether and how to become a parent is yours.
Four years ago, the Supreme Court ripped away the constitutional right to an abortion by overturning Roe v. Wade.
Today, 1 in 3 women now live in states with abortion bans or extreme restrictions.
In a rare moment of bipartisanship to address the housing crisis, yesterday Congress passed the largest housing package in decades.
Today, Trump canceled the bill signing ceremony until Congress passes his modern-day poll tax and the largest voter suppression bill since the days of Jim Crow.
The American dream of homeownership is out of reach for too many Americans as housing costs skyrocket above incomes.
Today, the House passed the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, the most significant housing legislation in decades, to address the housing affordability crisis.
The House was in recess last week as President Trump’s war of choice in Iran once again dominated the news.
Keep watching for more of what you might have missed.
This #ImmigrantHeritageMonth, we honor the immigrants who have devoted themselves to this country and helped create the mosaic of cultures that makes America what it is today.
I stand with @housedemocrats.bsky.social to express my gratitude to my local and national immigrant communities.
Happy #FathersDay to all fathers and father figures out there!
Happy #Juneteenth! Today is a reminder that emancipation was not a moment — it was a movement.
We have made progress, but today that progress is under attack. Juneteenth gives us the opportunity recommit to making the ideals upon which this country was founded true for everyone.
This #Pride, I stand alongside our queer friends and neighbors as an ally and voice in Congress to protect equality under the law.
Today, I joined @equalityva.bsky.social and other LGBTQ+ organizations at Liberty Public House to spread joy and hear their concerns firsthand.
Learn more about these and other projects included in the $10 million:
This year, I brought over $10 million in funding for community projects in Virginia’s Fourth District.
Today, I presented just over $1 million each to the cities of Colonial Heights and Petersburg for water infrastructure improvements.
